Chapter 1 - The Wrath of the martial god

In the endless expanse of the Murim world, there once lived a man whose name alone brought kingdoms to their knees. Not a god by birth, yet mortals dared not call him mortal.

The Martial God.

Born from flesh and blood, he rose from nothing. A mere mortal who defied the heavens, shattered the laws of existence, and carved his name into the foundations of the world itself.

His rise left the world drenched in blood. He did not seek allies; he sought submission. Entire sects and clans bowed before him, leaders trembling at his feet. And for every one who surrendered, ten more rose in defiance.

And he crushed them all.

The righteous sects, demonic cults, and wandering masters formed alliances never seen before, unleashing forbidden techniques and sacred weapons. Vast armies shook the earth beneath their march.

To the Martial God, they were nothing more than insects swarming a bonfire.

Desperate, the world turned to the heavens. Their prayers were filled with despair.

And the heavens answered.

Seven beings, the Seven Immortals, descended from celestial realms, each accompanied by divine beasts capable of obliterating armies alone. For the first time, the Martial God faced opposition worthy of his attention.

Yet he remained unshaken.

The War Against the World

The final war erupted in the Valley of Eternal Shadows, a land cursed to reflect the Martial God's wrath. Rivers ran dry, replaced by streams of blood. The earth cracked beneath countless fallen warriors. Storm clouds churned above as if the heavens themselves mourned. Lightning tore the sky.

At the valley's heart stood the Martial God. Crimson robes tattered, posture unbroken. Long black hair billowed in the wind. Golden eyes burned with contempt as he surveyed the assembled army. His aura was suffocating, overwhelming, like a storm threatening to swallow the world.

The Army's Arrival

Over a hundred thousand martial artists had united. Masters of righteous sects, demonic clans, and rogue factions had set aside grudges to form a coalition. Their banners snapped in the wind, and their combined qi created a whirlwind of oppressive energy.

At the forefront were the Five Righteous Lords, leaders of the strongest sects, radiating an aura as bright as the sun.

The leader of the Azure Sky Pavilion stepped forward, sword gleaming with azure light.

Leader of Azure Sky Pavilion: "Martial God! This ends today! For the sake of the Murim world, we strike you down!"

A slow, mocking smile spread across the Martial God's face.

Martial God: "Strike me down? With this rabble? You've gathered your strongest… and still… you are nothing."

The words cut through the army like a blade. Doubt flickered in the hearts of even the bravest warriors. Yet the Five Righteous Lords stood firm.

Leader of Azure Sky Pavilion: "Silence, tyrant! Today, we bring justice to the world!"

The First Clash

Thousands of martial artists unleashed their techniques in unison. Arcs of lightning, torrents of fire, and blades of wind filled the sky. The ground trembled as their combined qi roared toward the Martial God like a tidal wave.

He stood still.

Crimson energy swirled around him, forming a shield that deflected every attack. The onslaught shattered like water against a cliff. With a flick of his wrist, a shockwave of qi sent hundreds flying, formations crumbling.

Martial God: (coldly) "This is what you call strength?"

He stepped forward. The earth cracked beneath him, fissures spreading like a spiderweb.

The Five Righteous Lords Attack

The Five Righteous Lords struck together, weapons glowing with divine energy. Blindingly fast and precise, their attacks came from all directions.

The Martial God moved faster.

The leader of the Serene Lotus Sect lunged with her spear. He caught it with two fingers, snapping the shaft. A palm strike sent her crashing into the earth, leaving a massive crater.

The leader of Crimson Thunder Hall swung a massive war hammer, crackling with lightning. The Martial God sidestepped, grabbed the hammer, and shattered it against the man's knee.

One by one, they fell.

The Arrival of the Seven Immortals

The heavens opened. A blinding light descended, and seven figures emerged, radiating divine power. Beside them stood their divine beasts:

A celestial dragon with shimmering golden scales.

A phoenix, flames burning with radiant intensity.

A tiger, stripes crackling with lightning.

A shadowy wolf, crimson eyes gleaming with malice.

The Martial God tilted his head, a smirk tugging at his lips.

Martial God: "Finally… something worth killing."
