Chapter 52

On the other side of the dense forest in the northeast of the Land of Fire, several attacks passed straight through Sakyo's body without causing her the slightest harm.

After storing Naruto in her Kamui dimension, Sakyo stood up expressionlessly and quietly looked around.

Any Root ninja whose gaze met her Sharingan felt a chill run down their spine.

The power of the Sharingan needed no explanation—and the Mangekyō Sharingan was infamous for being even more terrifying.

Sakyo's chakra was depleting rapidly. Just one use of Amaterasu had already exhausted her.

Now, she could only barely maintain her body hidden within the Kamui dimension.

What should she do?

If it were Naruto… what would he do?

Just now, facing Root's encirclement, Naruto had chosen to flee in order to protect her safety.

If it weren't for her, Naruto probably would have wiped out this entire group already.

Thinking of this, an uncontrollable wave of sorrow rose in Sakyo's heart.

Naruto was dead. Suddenly the whole world turned gray to her.

What was the point of revenge?

Didn't she still need to rebuild the Uchiha clan?

But with whom?

Sakyo couldn't even imagine it. Her heart gradually turned cold.

If it were Naruto… maybe she could accept it.

But with anyone else, she only felt nauseated.

Although… Naruto wasn't exactly a great person either.

Yet somehow, without realizing it, Sakyo had reached a point where it seemed like it had to be him or no one?

"Damn guy."

Crystal tears slid down along the still-wet tear tracks. Sakyo clenched her fists tightly. Faced with this unacceptable reality, escape seemed like her only option.

Once a knot formed in the heart, it wasn't easy to untie.

Especially when Naruto's death had a direct causal link to her.

Because she had stood there like an idiot, Naruto died.

This filled Sakyo with unbearable self-blame and indescribable rage—rage at herself for acting so unreasonably, rage at Root's cruelty.

Now, it was impossible for Sakyo herself to ever restore the Uchiha clan's glory.

Unless…

She captured Uchiha Itachi and forced him to marry ten or eight wives…

Then the Uchiha clan would be filled with Itachi's harem—dozens of women. In two generations, wouldn't there be hundreds of people?

Yes!

One person's power could never compare to many.

Mm… that's what she'd do.

As soon as Sakyo thought this, her expression changed again.

She thought of Naruto.

Naruto wanted to marry her, yet he was still "colluding" with Hinata.

Before, it seemed like Naruto was just a super pervert.

But now… Sakyo herself had started thinking about letting Uchiha Itachi marry multiple women.

So why could she accept many people marrying Itachi, but couldn't accept Naruto doing the same?

Sakyo's mind was in complete chaos. In this kind of situation, logically she should be thinking about how to escape.

But instead she was thinking about all kinds of irrelevant things. She felt like she could no longer control her own consciousness.

Her brain was forcing her to dwell on meaningless thoughts to distract from the crushing grief.

Kamui's power was about to end. What next?

Sakyo looked helplessly at the dense encirclement of Root ninjas.

She had considered suicide, but now she wanted to avenge Naruto and clear the Uchiha name.

But… it was all over.

Sakyo raised her head to look at the night sky. The clear, cold moonlight was actually quite beautiful.

The night wind blew, gently lifting Sakyo's hair. At the roots, a patch of stark white stood out painfully.

The wind… could move Sakyo's hair!

The Root ninjas noticed this and exchanged glances.

They knew—Sakyo's chakra was exhausted. She could no longer maintain Kamui…

Otherwise, how could the wind move her hair?
