Chapter 15 - 15

"Master, I'm a little hungry," Ronnie patted his round belly.

Chambers glanced at him and said, "Just bear with it a little longer. There will be food when we get to Ice City."

"Ice City?" Ronnie's eyes gleamed with curiosity.

"Yes, it is Ice City. In the Ice Moon Empire, all cities are named after ice. For example, the capital of the Ice Moon Empire is called Ice Moon City. And this Ice City is the second largest city in the Ice Moon Empire. Do you see that main road ahead? Follow it southwest for about several dozen miles, and you'll arrive."

Just as Chambers finished speaking, the crisp sound of hooves rang out. The sound wasn't loud, but it gradually grew clearer as it approached. Looking in the direction of the sound, they saw a caravan traveling southwest along the continent. At the head of the caravan were four knights, all riding magnificent, tall horses, wearing identical silver light armor, looking very imposing. Each knight had a broadsword about three feet long hanging at his waist. Although they were moving forward, their eyes were constantly scanning both sides of the road, seemingly very vigilant. Behind the four knights was a carriage, large and ornate, pulled by four tall, pure white horses. Judging from its size, it could probably comfortably seat seven or eight people. The carriage's drapes were embroidered with silver threads, patterns that, while not elaborate designs, subtly exuded an air of authority. The coachman, who appeared to be around Chambers' age, held the reins with ease, guiding the horses to maintain a steady pace. Two knights in silver armor stood guard on each side of the carriage, and a squad of ten knights followed behind, making a total of eighteen. Their neat uniforms were highly visible, and although they were still some distance from Chambers and Ronnie, they were already clearly identifiable.

"Master, who are those people? They look very imposing," Ronnie asked.

A glint flashed in Chambers' eyes. "They look like the family of some high-ranking official. However, they don't seem to be from the Ice Moon Empire."

Ronnie asked doubtfully, "How do you know so much?"

Chambers snorted. "Old ginger is naturally spicier. Look at the embroidered patterns on their carriages; it's actually an artistic script, in Oranese. From this alone, you can tell that this caravan comes from the Oran Empire. And these knights are clearly not ordinary mercenaries; they are soldiers who have been tested by blood and fire, truly veterans of the battlefield. Otherwise, how could they possess such a strong aura of killing intent? To command so many real soldiers, what else could they be but high-ranking officials and nobles? Therefore, I judge that they are the family of some noble in the Oran Empire, and perhaps the noble himself is among them."

Hearing this, a hint of admiration appeared in Ronnie's eyes. To deduce so much just from appearances, his master truly deserved the title of "shrewd old ginger."

Just then, the rapid sound of hooves suddenly rang out from the other side, causing Ronnie to look in the opposite direction. A rider approached the cavalry with lightning speed. The entire cavalry stopped almost simultaneously, but they showed no alarm. The four riders at the front even dismounted.

With a loud neigh, the approaching rider, about to collide with the riders in front of the cavalry, suddenly reared up, its two front hooves raised high to the side, abruptly halting its forward momentum. The skill of the rider could only be described as divine. The rider was also a knight, wearing the same silver armor as the eighteen knights, but with the addition of a long, white feather on his helmet.

Chambers let out a soft "Ah," and said, "I know who they are. They seem to be members of the Silver Feather Knights, the elite cavalry regiment of the Oran Empire. For them to personally escort us, the people in this carriage must be extraordinary."

"The Silver Feather Knights? What's that?" Ronnie asked, like a curious student, repeatedly asking questions that lingered in his mind. Chambers showed no impatience; he clearly wanted Ronnie to learn more about the stories and legends of various countries on the continent. He whispered, "The Silver Feather Knights are very famous throughout the entire Yangon Continent. They are the elite of the Oran Empire's elite forces, known for their 'colorful feathers and silver armor that shake the world.' Depending on their rank, different colored feathers adorn their helmets. In terms of martial arts, warriors are ranked from lowest to highest: Warrior, High Warrior, Swordsman, Great Swordsman, Martial Artist, Martial Saint, and Divine Master. In terms of rank, Warriors are almost equivalent to you mages, but as you know, in a one-on-one close-quarters fight, a mage rarely wins against a warrior. Of course..." That's not absolute. As far as I know, once a mage reaches the level of a Grandmaster, it becomes very difficult for a warrior of equal skill to harm them. Among warriors, Divine Masters are on par with Divine Descendants among mages. How powerful they are is probably hard to know, because Divine Masters are now just legends. At least one Divine Descendant from the Ice God Tower is still alive, but I've never heard of any warriors at the Divine Master level. Perhaps they only existed during the wars of decades ago. They're all long gone now. And these Silver Feather Knights warriors before me, each one is at least a Swordsman in strength, especially those with white feathers on their helmets—they must be... "A single squad leader is probably close to a Grand Swordsman in strength. Although they are light cavalry, their offensive capabilities are in no way inferior to heavy cavalry, and they far surpass them in speed and agility. Add to that their well-coordinated battle formations, and on the continent, there are very few knightly orders that can rival them."

Ronnie stuck out his tongue and said, "Wow, that's amazing! Ten thousand swordsman-level warriors are comparable to ten thousand high-level mages, aren't they?"
