However, the moment he saw Aggron, he found his answer.

Shiko unclipped a Poké Ball.
A red beam shot out and gradually condensed into the form of a Pokémon.

The moment Shiko sent out his Pokémon, Whitney's entire body tensed.

How could a single person possess three of them?
Unlike the shocked and astonished spectators, Whitney's expression rapidly darkened.
She knew that the strategy she had prepared against Shiko had failed the instant Garchomp appeared.
As a Ground- and Dragon-type Pokémon, Garchomp would receive only half damage from Rock-type moves.
Even more troublesome was the fact that Garchomp's Ground-type moves would deal four times the normal damage to Aggron due to its Steel and Rock typing.
Four times the damage!
Even though Aggron possessed some of the most formidable Defense imaginable, such an overwhelming disadvantage would render that strength nearly meaningless.
The balance of the battle had already tipped in Shiko's favor the moment Garchomp entered the arena.
Damn it!
Whitney clenched her fists.
Her body trembled slightly.
She had considered countless possibilities, yet she had never imagined that Shiko possessed another Dragon-type pseudo-legendary.
Worse still, its typing perfectly countered her Aggron!
However, there was no point dwelling on that now.
The outcome could only be determined through battle!
"Aggron, use Iron Defense!"
"ROAR!"
Aggron released a thunderous roar.
A pale green barrier rapidly began forming in front of it.
Whitney intended to strengthen Aggron's defenses first.
That way, it might be able to withstand Garchomp's assault for at least a few rounds.

She had completely misjudged the difference in speed between Garchomp and Aggron.
Before Aggron's Iron Defense could fully form, Garchomp's attack had already arrived.
