Aunt Gomez felt a chilling sensation run down her spin. She had to go take a sit to process all that she had heard.
"Ashley, look me in the eyes, I'm not the type you mess with and go scot free so now, tell me are you speaking the truth".
"Aunt Gomez, why will I risk lying to you when I know exactly how ruthless you can be?" Ashley said trying to feign calmness.
"As a matter of fact, the CEO, your brother put a tracker on which I'm sure has given away this location to them so any time from now, he will track you here and know you're the culprit".
He leaned forward slightly, feigning sincerity, "Listen, let's make a deal. Set me free, and I will tell the CEO I came here to see a friend. In exchange, you can go find the young master and handle he however you want. It's a win win.
Aunt Gomez narrowed her eyes.
"And what makes you think I'd trust you Ashley?".
He swallowed, staying composed
"The person I care about the most is being drawn to Mitchell. Removing him will work in my favour too".
She stared at him, considering, before gesturing to her men. "Untie him. But Ashley, understand that I will kill you a second I find out you're trying to double-cross me. Now get out".
Ashley smirked internally as he walked away, his plan successful.
"What a fool", he thought. There was no tracker, just his quick thinking. Despite his jealousy towards Mitchell, he didn't want him dead. Urging the driver to speed up, Ashley went back to the company.
Alexandro company;
Ashley hastily found his way to the CEO's office. The CEO who was reading a newspaper, creased his brows when someone suddenly entered his office. On raising his head, he saw Ashley which startled him a bit.
"Ashley, I thought you're on a leave, what brings you here"
"Boss there's a matter of urgency that needs your attention"
"Matter of urgency you say??? Speak then"
"Boss the young master is alive. As a matter of fact, he's at a village at the outskirt of town called Ottad. Boss I fear the people who tried to murder him years ago are after his life again" Ashley tried to play smart by not calling Aunt Gomez's name as the culprit.
Master Alexandro was in utter disbelief.
"Ashley are you sure of what you're saying" he asked tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Yes boss"
"Boss, I fear this is not the right time to shed tears. Like I said earlier, some people are after his life" Ashley said impatiently.
Master Alexandro's grief was instantly overshadowed by resolve. Grabbing his phone, he barked an order. Minutes later a huge, imposing man entered.
"Tigan, gather the team. We are bringing my son home"
Tigan's eyes widened. "Boss with all due respect...your son passed away years ago so which son do you speak of??"
"Tigan, my son is alive. Now go. We leave at once"
There was no time for Tigan to remain in his shock state so he quickly did as he was told.
Both Ashley and the CEO followed the men. As they drove closer, Master Alexandro pulse raced.
"I failed you once, son," he murmured
"This time, I won't."
Ottad village;
Meanwhile, one of Aunt Gomez's men approached a passerby, holding up a photo.
"Excuse me, have you seen this man around here?"
The villager shook his head. "No I haven't."
The man sighed, pulling out his phone to report back. "Boss, that Ashley guy must have played us. No one here has seen him".
Aunt Gomez's voice crackled over the line. "Keep looking, you fool. Don't waste time with excuses!".
