The whole scene looked like it came from straight out of a goofy cartoon. The three men didn't move like if they tried to be invisible, question of who the fuck is behind them and how the fuck he came into the house when their man is outside… and in that goofy scene there was Daisy's mother.
She was on the ground but something changed in her, the way she looked up at César like a guardian angel just came to save her life… in a clothes that resembled the one thing that he hates more than gangs… the cartel.
Yeah that face of César looked the exact one that doesn't come to offer help, but came to use this scenario as a jumping pad and she could see it, that the man that came in the house that shocked everybody was not there to help her but to use her too… yeah whatever man Daisy found in the street he found the worst one and she exactly knew it, but it was better than nothing, better than letting those motherfuckers do whatever they want with her body… it was better to grab the helping hand of a worse man than all three of them and their gang.
"A-are you from the police?" One of the men asked but still didn't look back.. "You came because of the screams somebody called in? You know this is a misunderstanding, we are just–"
Laughing interrupted him, coming from César once again, and it wasn't the type of laugh mocking them but an enjoyable laugh, he enjoyed something in this scenario.
"Police?" He laughed more as he asked back. "You wish if it was the police… you know you fuckers… the one thing that connects everybody in the criminal world is the one thing that is in the book of the mafia, of the cartel and everybody who has more braincells than y'all… is to don't touch women."
"Then who are you… and why are you in our territory?" The one on the side asked.
Again another laugh, but this time it was louder and more frightening like his laugh touched their soul… a laugh that just said enough about the person behind them… said enough to slowly reach for their guns.
"We have the chief with us." The last one spoke on the left side. "You're going to be killed… but if you leave like nothing happened you might live a bit more."
To be true they weren't that dumb… they spoke, they tried their part to be talkative and have time to pull out their guns… they went over César's expectations with it.
"Yeah… and y'all going to meet too."
"What–"
Their bodies fell like trees being cut down, they couldn't even react to the small caliber going through the back of their head, opening their skull and going into their brains.
César was quick with it and precise thanks to the lives he lived through, he didn't care about the blood, it did touch him how he just painted the walls with it, didn't care about the pool under their bodies… nor cared about Daisy's mother being splattered with it.
Yeah splatter because he made mistakes too in his life… one being that never double checking the bodies because miracles can happen so what he did was making sure there are no miracles.
Two bullets to each head, he made sure of it that they're dead, but with it he did one more thing.
Giving Daisy's mother the confirmation that his so-called guardian angel maybe came from Hell and not from Heaven and moreover one more thing.
She was shocked, but not about the blood or what these men wanted to do with her but was shocked by the fact that somebody who looks like a cartel member actually helped Daisy.
"You're safe, miss, put some clothes on and let's go." César said as he didn't even look at her because well he was more focused on something better than saving her.
Nine millimeters… He thought as he pulled out their guns and yeah much better not just that but the serial numbers were scratched off which meant he can kill more and more.
"W-who are you…?" Daisy's mother asked as she didn't move even an inch just stared at César and his calmness about the whole situation.
"Uhm… a random man who got sent here by your daughter to help you." He said. "Though better to hurry up before their goons show up, put your clothes on and let's go to Daisy."
"Y-yeah…" She whispered as still didn't understand anything about all of this and just put on her shirt and jeans while César himself was still looting the shit out of them.
All the money from their wallets, their golden chains, their phones, the guns and magazines they had on them, even snatch of a watch that had diamond in it.
Maybe this is the American dream after all…
[System Notification: You have collected 3 out of the 5 kills. Remind kills to complete the Taste of Blood Challenges is two]
"I'm… ready." She spoke again, as she checked out César even more.
The scar on his face, the way he killed and didn't even care about it just gave her more and more evidence that this man in front of her is one of them… or maybe he is the one.
"Good, then grab my hand and let's go." César said as he smiled like nothing happened and offered his hand and well she could do nothing more so grabbed it and the two started walking out of the house hand in hand.
And then they stopped… more like Daisy's mother stopped suddenly as she just saw what was in front of them as the door opened.
At least fifteen gang members were waiting for them aiming their guns.
"Ohh we have some goons waiting for us." César said but he didn't feel anything or fear why… after killing their bosses. "Come on, miss." He said as he looked back at her and just walked down the stairs right to them.
But there was something they didn't notice that was giving César more satisfaction than anything else so far… cops mixed with gangsters aiming at them in their uniform, with badges.
"Put your hands up!" One of the cops shouted and it was an absurd scene… a cop between gang members with guns and they're aiming at them.
"Ohh so they aren't lying about the chief huh?" He looked back at Daisy's mother who was frozen down squeezing his hand more and more.
"I said put your hands up! Now!" The cop shouted again… and he noticed one more strange phenomenon about all of it.
The gang members didn't seem very angry about the fact that their boss just died… they looked like ones that wanted it to happen, they didn't even say a word or shouted, just were silently aiming their guns.
And it just told him even more that he can truly conquer the city, as these motherfuckers are unstable, the gangs are unstable which also means he can easily wipe all of them out.
Huh… it truly a jackpot start what the fuck is this.
"I said put your–"
"This woman is under the protection of the Sierra Cartel!"" He shouted as looked at the officers.
They all lowered their guns, even the cops. Not just that, once he said it, their whole demeanor changed and the only reason it worked was because everyone knew about the cartels and what they were capable of, and that's why nobody questioned it.
They didn't even think that it might be a trick because the news is real with the cartels, that they are merciless animals and will hunt you down and César looked exactly like one of them.
"Now, thanks for the warm welcome." César said as with it he was holding the hand of Daisy's mother hard and just literally walked away to the direction of the clothing store… why Daisy's mother herself was… speechless.
She understood what he said and more importantly understood what it meant to be under the protection of a cartel, but what she didn't understand is why… and moreover what is the Sierra cartel as she never heard of it.
Though one thing was for sure… it wasn't only César who won the jackpot, but she herself as well, because if he hadn't shown up, she would never have been the same again, maybe even with this, with the fact that she was saved by the cartel… at least that's what she believed.
