The words hit Celine making her freeze in shock for a moment.
"But, how could we have gotten locked in?" She queried still not believing there was no way to open the door as she tried to twist the knob several times.
Tristan's eyes narrowed. This couldn't be a coincidence...the signal suddenly being down, doors locked.
His eyes flashed with realization as he recalled a certain cunning look in Kaleb's eyes earlier.
He sighed, massaging his temple...that meddling idiot!
The sound of Celine rattling the door became louder, and he held her wrist to stop her. "You might hurt yourself, the door won't budge even if you use your strength."
"But I need to leave now."
"Don't worry, this could be happening because of a routine security check, it doesn't take more than a few minutes. Once the signal is restored I'll contact IT and they'll fix this, okay?" He was relieved when she eventually relented, letting go of the knob and returning into the lounge to take her seat.
