Something seemed to be knocking against her chest, it took her two seconds to realize that it was her heartbeat, beating faster and faster with each passing second.
Celine quickly broke off from his spell binding gaze, turning away before he could notice that her face had turned so red.
"I need to eat... before it gets cold." She uttered, trying not to stutter.
She immediately scurried back towards the couch, not wanting to make it too obvious that she was flustered by his words. She opened her pack of lunch without looking at him, the delicious aroma hit her once more and she almost let out a satisfied sigh, but then she recalled the presence with her in the room and her heart skipped a beat.
'I see hair like sunset and fire, eyes like the sky, and a body like the goddess of beauty herself is standing right in front of me. Are my eyes faulty, Miss Roberts?'
She shook her head so she couldn't repeatedly recall those words.
