Aaron's POV
The quarterly reports were a blur of meaningless data. Numbers, charts, forecasts, none of it mattered. Aaron Blackwood sat at the top of everything he'd built and, for the first time, felt like it meant almost nothing.
The reason was simple. Cameron Sterling.
The offer from Aetherius had changed everything. Not because it was dangerous, but because it made things clear. Cameron was graduating soon. He might move to the States. His future was moving forward, with or without Aaron steering it. For once, Aaron couldn't control the outcome. That meant the old way…analyze, secure, dominate…was useless. This wasn't a business problem. This was a life problem.
And the solution was obvious. Marriage.
Not as a gesture. Not as symbolism. But as something solid. Legal. Permanent. Something that could survive distance, careers, and time. The problem?
Aaron had absolutely no idea how to do this.
