The lecture had just ended, and I was shoving my notebook into my backpack when Leah nudged me.
"Group study tonight? We need to prep for Vance's nightmare quiz."
"Sure, just let me…"
A loud, way-too-familiar and out of place voice cut through the hallway. "Cam! Baby bro!"
I froze. I knew that voice. My spine went stiff right before embarrassment hit me full force. I turned slowly.
Anna stood there, leaning against the lecture hall door like she was posing for the paparazzi. She wore oversized sunglasses and that her signature mischievous grin, whenever she's up to no good, was plastered on her face. Everyone nearby was staring.
"Don't call me that," I hissed, stomping over. "I'm not a baby. Go find yourself a baby and leave me alone."
She pushed her sunglasses down her nose and looked at me over the top. "Oh? But you didn't complain when I called you that at home, right?" she asked, a brow arched. She was loving this.
