Chapter 54 - Returning to Mondstadt

"Whoosh—bang!"

Giant fireworks bloomed in the night sky, transforming into thousands of streams of fire that poured down, illuminating the entire sea surface as if it were daytime.

The eaves and streets of Inazuma City were crowded with citizens looking up in awe.

"One more!"

Yoimiya excitedly waved a torch, his orange Horsetail braid jumping in the firelight.

He turned and lit the quartet's custom-made super-large firework—it was a Hilichurl shape, nearly three meters tall, and the fuse sizzled as it burned.

"W-wait! Isn't that design a little..."

Paimon's words were cut short.

"Boom!"

The Hilichurl firework exploded in the air and transformed into twenty dancing mini Raiden Eis, causing the real Raiden Ei, who was drinking Dango Milk, to choke and cough.

"Cough, cough! W-what is this..."

Raiden Ei hurriedly wiped the milk stains that had splashed onto his face.

Yae Miko laughed uncontrollably: "Oh my, even the fireworks are teasing our General!"

Not far away, Sayu rolled out of her Daruma, rubbing her sleepy eyes: "Ugh... I only slept for ten hours..."

She groggily looked up and saw a giant Tanuki formed by the fireworks exploding in the sky, instantly waking her up: "Wow! It's Sayu!"

Kamisato Ayaka smiled and handed her a string of Apple Candy: "Miss Yoimiya specially designed this for you."

In the night sky, more and more fantastical shapes continued to Bloom:

The firework lit by Jesse transformed into the soaring Thunderbird, scattering sparks as its wings spread;

Elliot's "Abyss Mage Begging for Mercy" firework drew laughter from the entire crowd;

Zane's custom firework even recreated the scene of Guilliman battling the Raiden Shogun, causing the people involved to twitch their mouths.

"It's truly beautiful..."

Raiden Makoto leaned on Kitsune Saiguu's shoulder, the brilliant light reflecting in her eyes.

The white fox woman gently adjusted her collar: "You've worked hard, my Lord of Thunder."

"Brother! Come out quickly and watch the fireworks!"

The Raiden Shogun yanked the Balladeer by his scarf, forcibly dragging him out of the room.

The Young Harbinger tilted his head back, looking utterly resigned: "Where do these people get all this energy..."

The most spectacular finale came from the Wolf King—the silver-white Mecha ascended, and after its chest plate opened, it released thousands of miniature fireworks.

They exploded simultaneously at the highest point, forming the outline of the entire Inazuma archipelago in the sky, with every island clearly delineated by flames of different colors.

Raiden Ei unconsciously straightened up.

He watched Ritou, Konda Village, the Sacred Sakura Tree flickering in the fireworks... and the tiny figures running and laughing.

For the first time in five hundred years, he had so clearly "seen" his nation.

"Ei."

Yae Miko gently touched his arm.

"This is what 'eternity' should look like."

The General walked over to the Balladeer at some point and quietly held his hand.

Although the Balladeer looked disgusted, he didn't pull away.

When the last firework faded, Inazuma Port suddenly lit up with countless River Lanterns.

The citizens released the lanterns distributed by the quartet, and the lights drifted far away along the ocean currents, as if to convey the joy of the night to the entire sea.

Early the next morning, Sayu finally caught up on her sleep inside the Daruma.

Meanwhile, in the Tenshukaku conference room, a group of gods and officials were asleep—their faces still held the lingering smiles from the night before, and they clutched new documents: "Proposal to Establish the Fireworks Festival as a Permanent Holiday."

"After staying for so long, it's about time we left Inazuma."

Jesse lay on the grass at the edge of Ritou, crossing his legs and facing the sky.

"Agreed."

Lumine sat beside him, echoing his sentiment, then continued to maintain the Skyward Blade in her hand.

"We should go see Venti and the others while we're at it."

Elliot suddenly leaped out of a nearby bush, striking an exaggerated pose.

He was currently wearing a "Crown of the Sea King" made of Crab shells, holding a branch tied with seashells as a Trident.

"It's time to let that good-for-nothing Bard witness the true power of the ocean!"

"Shut up, Lord Sea King!"

Zane walked up from behind, carrying his thunder hammer, and slammed it next to Elliot's feet, splattering mud all over the face of the Chuunibyou Hilichurl.

"If you do that again, I'll summon the Wrath of Thunder to give you a taste of 'electrotherapy'."

Matt squatted down, blinking his light-bulb-sized eyes: "I wonder how Mona is doing. Her back injury should be mostly healed by now."

"He should be fine now, Wolf King."

Zane called out, a helpless expression showing beneath his mask.

"What is it?"

An elegant voice rang out, and the three-meter-tall white Werewolf stepped out from the woods.

"Tell Raiden Makoto and the others that we are leaving."

Zane said.

The Wolf King bowed slightly: "Understood."

Blue light suddenly shot from his eyes, projecting an image in the air of Raiden Makoto working in the Tenshukaku.

Raiden Makoto looked up at the projection before her, already accustomed to the sight.

"Hmm? Is there something you need, everyone?"

Raiden Makoto put down her pen and asked with a smile.

"Miss Makoto, we're leaving!"

Paimon flew forward and shouted to Raiden Makoto.

"Is that so? I understand. I will tell Raiden Ei and the others."

Raiden Makoto nodded.

She was not surprised by this; after all, they were Travelers, and couldn't stay in Inazuma forever.

"Goodbye."

After the group said their farewells, the Wolf King's body began to transform.

In the blink of an eye, the elegant Werewolf Butler transformed into a twenty-meter-tall silver-white Gundam.

"Please board, my masters."

The Wolf King's voice emanated from the Gundam's speakers, still maintaining his elegant, butler-like tone.

The Gundam knelt on one knee, placing its palm flat on the ground as a boarding platform.

Just as the group was preparing for takeoff, a shout suddenly came from afar: "Wait a moment!"

Yoimiya ran over breathlessly, followed by Raiden Ei and Yae Miko.

"Thankfully we made it!"

Yoimiya was holding several custom-made fireworks.

"These are your farewell gifts! They can Bloom into dancing Hilichurl patterns anywhere!"

Raiden Ei expressionlessly handed over a Scroll: "These are Travel Permits and Certification Documents... though you probably won't need them."

Yae Miko smilingly handed everyone an Omamori: "Inside are my custom-made 'Anti-Chuunibyou' Talismans, especially for that 'Lord Sea King'."

She pointedly looked at Elliot, who had just climbed up from the ground.

"Thank you! We'll come back to Inazuma when we have time!"

Jesse shouted on behalf of the team, then turned to the Wolf King.

"Let's go! Destination Mondstadt!"

The Wolf King Gundam initiated the lift-off sequence, and its energy wings emitted blue flames.

Lumine rested her chin in the cockpit, watching the scenery of Inazuma gradually shrink below.

Paimon counted the gifts they received: "Fireworks, documents, Omamori... Huh? Why is there one extra item?"

Matt awkwardly scratched his head: "Uh... I accidentally broke off a piece of the Tenshukaku's eaves just now as a souvenir..."

Amidst the shouts of the group, the Wolf King Gundam streaked across the sky toward the City of Freedom, Mondstadt, leaving behind a blue trail and the helpless laughter of their Inazuma friends.
