Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 : The beginning of Malachi 2.

As this ravishing young girl stepped into the club, Malachi's eyes were filled with wonder. This boy who was always emotionless, whose actions were never understood. The group of troublemaking friends was surprised to see Malachi in such a state.

The young girl approached, and Malachi murmured her name. His lips moved, and one could make out the pronunciation — it was "Jade."

The young girl was truly very beautiful; she looked around sixteen, and she was just as beautiful as Malachi. Her long hair down to her hips carried a few blue streaks; they were far too captivating, and one could only fall in love. Her face was soft, spotless, with not even a hint of blemish. Her feminine silhouette was neither fat nor skinny. She was slim, in short, worthy of a model. No, Jade far surpassed models and several celebrities. Her way of dressing was a little plebeian, but her grace was royal. A green long-sleeved T-shirt, a frivolous black skirt, a dark leotard, and black gothic-style boots. No accessories, for they might disgrace her sublime appearance.

Jade was approaching Malachi, and Malachi moved forward slowly. Malachi was rather destabilized because, as always, Jade affected him. Malachi stopped advancing while Jade, standing before him, took him in her arms and hugged him. In truth, one could have believed she was the feminine version of Malachi himself.

Malachi smelled her scent, and it was an alluring fragrance. It reminded him of certain fruits. Jade never wore makeup or perfume; her face was already magnificent, and her natural scent was enough to cause immense damage to men.

Malachi then began to wrap his arms around Jade in return and murmured to her: "It's been a while, little psycho." That was the nickname Malachi had given Jade.

In response, Jade licked her lips and said, "Already? It's only been a few hours since we last saw each other."

Jade was right — the two had separated that morning. But Malachi had found the passing of time far too long. Waiting for Jade always rendered him mute, for he grew nervous in her absence. He thought that waiting for happiness was frustrating.

The two separated, and Jade noticed Olaf. Olaf was the young boy among the troublemaking group of friends who had wanted to borrow money from Malachi. Jade smiled, thinking that Malachi had finally found friends to spend time with. She took the initiative and invited the group of troublemaking friends to join her and Malachi at a table.

Malachi, for his part, wondered what was happening. Why had Jade invited strangers to the table they were supposed to share alone? Thoughts formed in Malachi's mind, and he wondered if Jade had fallen in love at first sight with Olaf.

Although Astor had fainted, the three still sat at the table with Malachi and Jade. It was because no one could refuse Jade's requests. Just like Malachi, who could be frightened by a simple word and intimidated by her very presence. Jade influenced people to do what she desired; she was so elegant and refined without even trying. For the two young lovebirds, playing with people's minds was nothing more than a passive talent.

Thus, Jade and Malachi both ordered an orange juice, and the two boys ordered two *Seventh Heavens*. Of course, little Astor was lying down, and Jade took care to have a blanket brought to her.

Time passed, and Olaf and Rudel — one of the others in the group — began to get along well with Jade. Malachi was perplexed and didn't like that at all. Why were they trying to steal Jade, Malachi wondered. But that wasn't the only thought crossing his mind. There was a sudden emptiness. As if something that had been there had disappeared. But he didn't worry too much, because if he had forgotten, it must not have been important.

Time flowed on. Olaf and Rudel managed to dodge their bill with the manager and also managed to explain that they would pay it back. The two people who had entered the bar, Olaf and Rudel, had ordered *Seventh Heaven* to try to impress the other girls in the bar.

However, as more time passed, Malachi truly began to worry. Why is there this emptiness I feel? As if something rather important had been forgotten by me. Sweat rolled down Malachi's forehead. And his heart began to pound. Indeed, Malachi hated when things that were under his control became incomprehensible to him.

Jade, who had her head resting on Malachi's chest, felt his heart racing wildly. It was the second time since she and Malachi had met that she witnessed such a scene. The first time was when Malachi set eyes on Jade for the first time — they had only been 4 and 5 years old then. But now, Malachi was grown. So what was happening? Jade wondered.

She knew Malachi behaved like this only when something made him uncertain. She knew Malachi was a genius, more than she was. There was no true comparison. Malachi was simply far above everyone else. He only lowered his guard in Jade's presence. But at this moment, what was happening to Malachi?

The atmosphere in the room shifted, and there were now only three people left in the bar: Malachi, Jade, and Rudel. But Rudel and Jade continued talking. Still sweating, Malachi began to stand up and said he would go freshen his face. Jade accompanied him, and just as she was about to tell Rudel he could take whatever he wanted while he waited… there was no one there.

But Jade didn't notice Rudel's absence. Neither did Malachi. She felt as though she had lost something, but couldn't remember what. On the table where they had all been sitting, there was nothing left except the two orange glasses of Malachi and Jade.

The two went to the restroom. And Malachi looked at the mirror. It seemed to crack from how beautiful Malachi was. Jade looked at Malachi and placed her hand on his chest. She held him from behind. She thought it might soothe the anxiety Malachi was feeling at the moment.

Then, Malachi began to ask Jade a question: "Don't you think something is missing?"

Jade didn't understand well, so Malachi explained that for the past few hours, he had noticed that in the bar they were in, there was a void. A hole that no one had noticed except him.

But Jade still didn't understand, and Malachi began asking why the bar was empty and where the people had gone. Jade responded in a neutral tone that they must all have gone home by now. Malachi knew this was false, because the manager worked all night, and *Seventh Heaven* was always crowded at this hour. But not wanting to worry Jade further, he began to agree with what she said.

For Malachi, who was never wrong and had very good instincts, Jade was the only one around whom he could lower his guard. Malachi turned toward Jade and apologized for his far-fetched questions. Maybe the drinks he had taken contained a bit of alcohol without him knowing it. And to ease Jade's worries, Malachi began convincing himself of his excuse and completely forgot the absence of everyone else in the bar.

Malachi lifted Jade by the waist and set her on the bathroom counter. It was made of marble and entirely luxurious. The *Seventh Heaven* bar was chic but also spotless. Comfort for customers was the first priority of *Seventh Heaven*. And it was run by the princess of the Meadows family — Jade Meadows.

Jade was the heiress of the Meadows family, just as Malachi was for the Hendrich family. The two had been engaged young by their families after the families noticed their connection. Miley Hendrich and Jude Meadows — Malachi's and Jade's fathers — were longtime friends, so the children that Malachi and Jade were used to meet often.

As Malachi set Jade on the sink's edge, the two looked into each other's eyes, and Malachi brought his head closer to hers. Tilting slightly to the side, their eyes closing, one began to kiss the other. Softly and delicately, their tongues touched and intertwined. The two were sharing their saliva.

Malachi moved down slightly and clung to Jade's neck like a serpent, and Jade said it wasn't right to do this here. It was a public place, and someone could catch them. But Malachi didn't care; he was already under Jade's natural aphrodisiac. Jade was naturally sweet, just like Malachi. But Jade smelled like fruit, and Malachi like rain. While Malachi kept leaving hickeys on Jade, Jade also became addicted to Malachi's scent, and his kisses didn't help, for desire attacked her from all sides.

Thus, Jade took the initiative and grabbed Malachi's wavy black hair with both hands. She lifted his head and kissed him with tongue after licking his face in a long stroke. It was Jade's wild nature awakening.

High above, further beyond, above and beyond all structure and composition of physical reality. A library — and a number… No, it wasn't even possible to quantify this place. It was far too beautiful, yet the idea of beauty meant nothing there. It was too bright, yet there was no light. It was indescribable and unknown. It was the library of legends, the one that held and produced the secrets and events of all chronology. The Akashic Records.

There were shelves extending from who knows where. The concept of size did not exist, and no directional axis could allow any understanding of the structure of this domain.

In the distance, a man or a woman. One could not tell — it was too luminous. It had neither eyes nor mouth nor ears. It was only a silhouette of light sitting in this library, in a meditative position. Even though it had no eyes, it saw everything. That was what one would call omniscience — someone who knows everything. And even without a mouth, it was smiling. That was what one would call omnipotence — someone who can do the impossible. And even without skin, it felt everything — that was what one would call omnipresence, someone who can be everywhere.
