Mary want speak something but she stop by Lawrence slightly intense reaction.
"Who you calling old man? Deal only consist of me introducing you to Mary and I take my monster core but if she asks for money or other demands that nothing do with me. It's your problem to deal with." Mary blurted out after hearing it but Lawrence stop her.
He was tolerating this man's antics last time also but this one is too much even for patient man like him.
Money itself was not problem for him but take away his control from deal and being cornered with limited choices was not allowed by his businessman inside him.
He look at man with cold, stern face. Devoid any sort of emotions.
"You are right it's mistake by side. But you also not informed me earlier so as compensation I am not telling you probabilities of monster's abilities, bloodline inheriting. Name of monster was blazing lion, belongs to D rank gate 'Ashen Savana '. So take your cores and leave the room." He practically order the man and put two boxes on table.
He opened both of boxes then pushed them towards man. Then he shift his focus on Mary.
"State the price and denominations you want also there some additional condition I have. So first hear me -
"Stop ignoring me brat. You also play tricks on me last time now I pulled one. You starting throw tantrum like child." He stood there and start arguing with Lawrence.
"Yes, I pulled tricks on you and I love them. But when I did you last time aside from fact it takes your time and that one question does it bother you anyway. Did your plans foiled because of my mind game? That's difference you and me. Also what ever deal you proposing I am not interested in it." He stated firm voice.
"You know how to pipe down people very well." Man compliment him and take both cores. He glace at him last time then walking towards door leisurely.
"Don't even think using force on me." He warn the man in hoarse voice and face full boiling rage. He read his eyes when he glanced which helps him predict man's next action.
Man turned back with surprise look. He was just going to sneak attack him but Lawrence already read through his intentions.
"Even if you know it what can you do? Your strength not enough to stop me and you today also don't bring a guardian. Maybe survive second or two if Mary fought with you." He speaks with sarcasm and look at them like cornered prey.
Upon hearing it Mary jump forward her seat and take battle stance. She was extremely scared and trembling but her fighting spirit doesn't die.
She moves head a little and glance at Lawrence who still seating cross legged on his seat.
"Don't act ignorant, I already set protocols if died here today. I am more than happy if you kill me now because seal your fate and make sure your life became living hell." He spoke like declaring divine judgement.

His each were like sharp dagger to Christian's pride who thinks he was well hiding his identity till now.
"Now listen, you already take cores so go for now and meet me three months later at same date and time at this centre. I will hear whatever you offer have then. This time enough for you take me little more seriously and me getting used to my abilities." He offered deal to Christian.

Lawrence reject his offer without even hearing because he knows whatever it is, would not be simple give and take. But he also well aware of holding this guy's leash don't mean stop him doing other insane things so in the end he decided to hear him out.

"Title, stats and other skills can be done but class skills is problem. Because more of data of all known classes is recorded so your class and its skills also registered in database. But in your case class rank is AA+ so it will attract unwanted attention and people look closely in your registration data. That's why I need you visit awakening center in under which we put your data so their always physical evidence you being their. We can handle rest so you just need to visit the center and visible in their security cameras." She carefully chose her words.
"Can't we just alter data of class itself?" Lawrence question with curiousity.
"I advise against it because of your class rank you may face troubles but you can demonstrated your skills freely to anyone. But under false data you need continuous vary of other hunters. Also there are different detection methods prevent it." Mary explain him simple words.
Lawrence ask her continue the information she was going tell him about status.
"Let start with titles, title usually give by system for your exceptional achievement. Their grades are common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary. Except common all them have effects. Higher the title's grade better the effect."
"Then why do I have titles then? Both are clearly not for any sort achievements but for my personality and capabilities." Lawrence question her.
"It was not unusual, there were number of cases where person get title without any significant achievement. Main thing is hunters who achieved titles are so low to conduct any sort research or survey. So don't think to deeply about it." Mary speak in reassuring tone.
"Next leveling up, your current level must be 0 but it will increase as you kill monsters and clear anomalies.Increasing skills level will give you experience. Moreover doing feat like using class skills, killing monster for first time will give considerable experience." She explained him like teacher.
"I got level up before for using class skills." He spoke and get her attention.
"What with your expressions? Don't you read my status so you must my skills description." Lawrence question her.
"No it doesn't work like this. There are countless artificats and skills which see through others status but even they can't see description and details of class skills. Class skills are much more special, with awakening you get two skills respected to class and one skill based on your innate talent. Your regeneration skill for example, chances of getting third skill itself is less than 10%."
"What happened to those who doesn't get third skill? What system give them in compensation?"
Lawrence question her mainly for curiosity and guidance. Because after awakening NPCs won't give any sort of practical guidance of system. Players needs to explore on their own so despite familiar with most of information he still listening to understand Mary's opinion on it and try to get new bits of knowledge.
"System doesn't compensate them. System may give us equal chance and help us grow stronger but it is not fair to everyone. Now stats and other skills, increasing different stat improve different aspect of your body. For basic strength increase overall physical strength and attacks, endurance increase body's defence and resistance against spells, curses and other effects, agility increase body's overall balance, movements and speed, intelligence increase brain's thinking, processing speed and heighten normal functions which are important for better control over mana, vitality increase stamina and give boost to our life force in both in quality and quantity, lastly mana increase your power, control and precision over magic, skills, spells and more."
"Why is system referred mana photons as simply mana?" He questioned Mary before even she catches a breath. She don't realise when her short explanation became interactive session with Lawrence.
She smile faintly and refocus her glaze on him with eyes full of memories and nostalgia.
She remembers her old days when she explained different things to eager young hunters.

Mary's attentive eyes realise it was same smile he gives to Christian. A face full of joy, charm as he was happiest person in world but his eyes empty. Devoid of any sort of emotions, feeling or anything just two abyss staring at her.

'He must learn more skills to extreme for already hit upper limit.' She was thinking every possibility now because system intially only register ten other skills and increase this upper limit with level ups. But just because system doesn't listed more than ten then it doesn't means you can't used more skills you had learn before.
Also Lawrence give her aura of person who is well aware of their full extent of capabilities and weaknesses but more than any of that is they were sitting on second floor directly above her colleagues who are working on first floor.
Mary didn't even doubt with his 100+ strength he would try to break floor if she escalate things. So she decided to calm down and complete the conversation.
"Other skills which are different things, information you learned acknowledge as skill by system. Similar to class they are F to SSS rank but also divided based on proficiency. Basic level mastery which is F to EEE+ rank then advance level mastery with D to CCC+rank. After that come master level mastery with B to AAA+ rank then finally grandmaster level mastery which is S to SSS rank. Unlike class skills who had fixed ranks and only level up. Other skills are completely opposite of them. More increasing proficiency and rank of skills give you large amount of stats." She talk in low voice which is full hesitation.
"It's enough now. Now tell me the your price."
Lawrence asked her with satisfied look.
"500k Ethereum in half 1000 bill and half 5000 bill. Do one fourth payment now rest after getting your hunter card." She spoke with confidence as their conversation ending.

"Give us your contact because it will take few days for finding right center and arranging all stuffs." Mary speak in little desperation. She was extremely tired dealing with him.
He can originally going ask about physique, bloodline and class compatibility as he little knowledge of them but he decided to postpone it after realising how desperately Mary want him leave.
