Chapter 4 - Power With No Outlet!

Chapter 4 – Power With No Outlet!

Akira's sharp gaze locked onto the glowing system panel floating before him.

Five massive buttons lined the screen in a perfect row:

[Item Draw]

[Talent Draw]

[Attribute Draw]

[Technique Draw]

[Bloodline Draw]

And below each, the same terrifying words gleamed:

[100 Million Berries / per spin]

He still had 2.9 billion Berries left—

everything he'd painstakingly accumulated over eighteen years through cunning, corruption, and manipulation within the Beasts Pirates.

That fortune had once been his escape fund.

Now, it was his gambling capital.

"A gambler, huh?" Akira muttered, smiling bitterly to himself.

He wasn't wrong. At this moment, his mindset wasn't so different from a man who'd gone mad at the betting table.

But there was one difference—

His last gamble, the First Top-Up, had yielded 100% Critical.

That wasn't a loss. That was a jackpot.

If the first recharge alone had given him such power—

then this 100-million-per-spin gacha might just change his destiny.

"To hell with it," Akira exhaled, eyes flashing.

"Those afraid to risk will die starving. The brave—will feast."

His expression hardened, sharp as drawn steel.

He had already chosen to stay in this world.

His enemies weren't small-time pirates or nameless grunts—

They were Whitebeard, Big Mom, the Navy, the World Government—

and soon, in just two years, the so-called "child of destiny" Monkey D. Luffy would set sail.

If he didn't gamble… he'd die waiting.

"Money that doesn't turn into power," he whispered, "is nothing but worthless paper."

He sighed deeply and glanced to the side.

Yamato still lay unconscious on the bed—

her breathing calm, her chest rising and falling in steady rhythm.

Her beautiful face was peaceful now, free of the earlier madness of "Kozuki Oden."

Without that wild light, her beauty was almost intimidating.

"To truly subdue you one day," Akira murmured, "I'll have to become far stronger than this."

His decision was made.

He turned back to the spinning wheel of the system.

Five choices gleamed before him.

[Item], [Talent], [Attribute], [Technique], [Bloodline].

Which to choose first?

"Attributes are stable… but limited in potential."

"Talents define your entire fighting style—risky, but limitless."

"But Items…"

His eyes narrowed dangerously.

"The range is too wide. It could be a rare Devil Fruit… one of the Twelve Supreme Grade Swords… or even something from another world—like the Twelve Talismans, an Imperial Arm, or a Zanpakutō…"

His heartbeat quickened.

After all, his current katana had begun to feel… dull.

"Alright," he whispered. "You'll be first."

"Let's test my luck."

He focused his will on the [Item Draw] button.

"System—one draw!"

[Ding!]

[100 million Berries deducted.]

[Remaining Assets: 2.8 billion Berries.]

Akira didn't even blink.

The screen shifted.

The wheel vanished, replaced by thousands of glowing boxes spinning slowly in a dazzling formation.

[System Notice: Please select one Mystery Box.]

"Even a blind box system, huh…" Akira muttered dryly.

He stared at the countless boxes, then closed his eyes.

"Alright. I'll take you."

He pointed at random.

The chosen box burst open in a flash of golden light.

[Congratulations! You've obtained: Supreme Grade Sword!]

Akira's breath hitched.

"Supreme Grade Sword?!"

"Which one?!"

[Reward Received: One of the Twelve Supreme Grade Swords — Murakumogiri!]

"…What?"

Akira froze. His body went rigid.

His brain stopped for three full seconds.

"Murakumogiri…?"

"That's… that's Whitebeard's weapon!!"

He shot up from his chair, eyes wide with disbelief.

"System! You didn't make a mistake, right?!"

"That's the personal weapon of the world's strongest man—Whitebeard!"

But the system's voice remained cold and flat.

[System Notice: All rewards are genuine.]

The answer made Akira's skin crawl.

"Genuine…?"

He swallowed hard.

"Then… where is it?"

[Item has been stored in System Inventory. You may withdraw it at any time.]

He immediately opened his inventory.

[Murakumogiri (Supreme Grade Sword)]

Condition: Perfect

Owner: Akira

Note: Genuine item. Previous owner — Edward Newgate — lost this weapon three seconds ago.

Akira's eyelid twitched violently.

"Lost… three seconds ago?"

He gulped.

"System… don't tell me you actually stole it?!"

New World – The Moby Dick

"Gu ra ra ra ra—!"

That deep, thunderous laughter echoed across the deck of the Moby Dick.

The man known as Edward Newgate, the strongest man in the world—Whitebeard—sat proudly upon his massive throne.

IV lines ran into his arm while beautiful nurses replaced bottles of medicine beside him.

He didn't care. He lifted a barrel-sized bottle of rum and drank straight from it.

Beside his throne stood his pride—his weapon, Murakumogiri, the massive naginata symbolizing his power.

"Oi, Oyaji! The G-2 Marine branch is on the move!"

"Captain Marco! Captain Vista's spotted one of Teach's scouts!"

The deck was alive with frantic reports and movement.

Whitebeard took a final gulp, exhaled, and smiled in satisfaction—

but as he lowered his bottle, his hand froze in midair.

His eyes shifted sideways.

Empty.

Completely empty.

"…Where's my weapon?"

His massive hand trembled.

The smile vanished from his face.

Gradually, the noise on deck died down, silence spreading like a virus.

BOOM!

An immense pressure exploded outward from Whitebeard's body!

A wave of Conqueror's Haki swept across the ship—

BOOM! BOOM!

Hundreds of weaker crewmates collapsed instantly, foam bubbling from their mouths.

"What's wrong, Oyaji?!"

Marco the Phoenix burst forward, blue flames flaring around him.

"Oyaji! What happened?!"

Whitebeard turned slowly.

There was no laughter now—only fury and disbelief.

"Marco."

"Y–yes, Oyaji?" Marco stammered.

"…Where is my naginata?"

"Huh?"

Marco blinked. "Your naginata is right—"

He followed Whitebeard's gaze.

The spot beside the throne was empty.

"…N-Naginata?! Where's the naginata?!"

"Gura… ra ra…"

Whitebeard's low growl vibrated like an earthquake.

He rose to his full height, his colossal figure shadowing the entire deck.

"DAMMIT!! THERE'S A THIEF ON THIS SHIP!!!"

"Find them!!"

"Find my weapon, NOW!!"

"Y–Yes, Oyaji!!"

Marco shouted orders frantically.

"All hands! Level-One Alert! Seal every exit! Find Oyaji's weapon immediately!!"

In an instant, the Moby Dick erupted into chaos.

Whitebeard stood motionless amid the storm, his face dark as thunderclouds.

Yet beneath the anger… there was something else.

Fear.

A thief?

Who could possibly be strong enough to steal his weapon without triggering even a flicker of Observation Haki?

When… did such a monster appear in this world?

Onigashima – Medical Ward

"Ah-choo!"

Akira suddenly sneezed, staring at the gleaming naginata in his hands.

"Someone must be talking behind my back."

He rubbed his nose, then glanced down again.

The blade's cold gleam illuminated the entire room.

His expression was… complicated.

"100 million Berries…"

"For a weapon of this caliber…"

"That's not just profit—it's divine luck."

He grinned.

Every trace of hesitation vanished from his eyes.

They now shone with the gleam of pure ambition.

His gaze shifted to the next button—

[Talent Draw]

He glanced at his asset bar—[2.8 billion Berries].

"Alright."

"If we've started stealing—uh, I mean, winning—then let's go all the way."

"I've got my weapon."

"Next—my talent."

Without hesitation, he commanded:

"System! Talent Draw! One spin!"

[Ding!]

[100 million Berries deducted.]

[Remaining Assets: 2.7 billion Berries.]

The mystery boxes appeared again—this time shimmering in violet light.

"Same rule, huh?"

Akira closed his eyes and pointed at random.

"You're the one."

The violet box burst open in a flash.

[Congratulations! You've obtained a Special Talent!]

[Reward Acquired: Double Strike (Passive)]

"Double Strike?" Akira echoed.

He immediately opened the description.

[Double Strike (Passive): Every attack you perform counts as two real strikes.]

His eyes widened.

"Every hit… counts twice?"

He did the math instantly in his head.

"One punch…"

"With Double Strike, becomes two."

"That's double the damage."

"And with 100% Critical—each blow is doubled again…"

A spark flashed in his gaze.

"That means… every attack I throw now hits four times harder."

He stared at his hand, fingers curling slowly into a fist.

The air rippled faintly around his knuckles, crackling softly as his joints tightened.

A wave of raw strength coursed through him.

He wanted to test it.

He needed to.

Someone. Something. Anything.

He just needed to hit something.

"Four times the power…"

His eyes flicked toward the unconscious Yamato.

"…No. If I hit her, Kaido will kill me."

Then he looked at the heavy steel door.

"…Also no. If I break that, I'll have to pay for repairs."

"Damn it!"

He clenched his jaw, trembling as the new energy raged within him.

"This cursed power… and nowhere to unleash it!"

"Not a single thing I can hit in this whole damn room!!"
