Autumn's Pov :
As soon as I entered the gate I was showered with flower petals. I was surprised.
Scarlet started sneezing uncontrollably and started feeling dizzy. Turn put she is allergic .
" Such a boomer " Someone said.
" Oh!! no... Wrong person " someone else said.
" That was supposed to be for my girlfriend .
" Why is it you ??? Edith did you not check before showering the flower petals . Are you in your right mind buddy " A boy came up to me and said.
The audacity of this asshole. I will beat this guy to pulp and toss him in the garden to be eaten by dogs . The helllllll man . This was supposed to be my grand first day.
" How was I supposed to know who came from the door . You are unbelievable Anthony" Some boy stated.
" Hey ! Hey! Mister stop . Who do you think you are . This is not your personal property . Why are you blaming me . I don't care whatever you do but Do not mess with me . I just fucking came through that door and-
A girl passed through the door and that guy named Anthony started following her . Apologizing . I think his girlfriend is angry . Serves him right . HEHEHEHE but Whatever it is our entry was still Grand decorated with flowers and all. Great ! Great . Wait !! I forgot something . Oh no .... Scarlet .
I turned toward her . She had stopped sneezing but she was all red and was almost about to pass but I caught her.
" Let's go to the medical room " I frantically said.
"O-O h no that's not nee- ..ded . I-I have
... my medicine.... in my bag . If I just take.....I will be fine." Scarlet said stuttering.
I listened to her. I made her sit in the lounge area in the Entrance room . Took out the medicine from her bag, a bottle of water from my bag. Made her sit up straight and eat the medicine followed by water.
She lay her head on my shoulder for a while. We sat there for God knows how long until she was finally feeling well .
" How are you feeling " I asked
" Alive and kicking " She casually answered with a wide grin.
" You are unbelievable. One minute you are alive and kicking while on the other you become all fine and good. You are really something " I nagged her.
" Well that's just how allergies are . They make you feel like you will die any second even though they are not always life threatening. I mean atleast mine is not. For me it's always been like that . Also I am not only allergic to flowers but also to all types of nuts . Once I ate something that had nuts and was already sent to the ICU . So, yeah sometimes they are life threatening too but worry not I know how to deal with it. I am used to it " She said in a calm but serious tone.
I just nodded in response but concern was still spread across my face . I wanted to take her to the hospital but she would clearly not budge. Her face was still a little red .
" Hey ! It's already 8:55 . It's time for class we can't be late. Let's goooooo" She squealed .
" Alright !! Let's go but are you really alright . Are you not feeling any irritation on your skin . I suggest we go to the hospital before anything worsens . " I pressed .
" No ! No . It will be fine . Trust me . I will be alright and all that redness will be gone in less than an hour . So for now . Let's go " She responded taking my hand and leading us to our. We were pretty fast in reaching the classroom.
Scarlet opened the door and violà !! No professor . So , if there was no one here yet.... were we early . Yayyyyyy. We just quickly went ahead and sat wherever the seat was empty .
The class was almost full with only a few seats left.
" Lets sit here " Scarlet said while pointing at a bench . We sat there quickly incase we loose it too.
So , our seat was on the third row from the last . Lucky us , we found one from where we could see everything clearly .
It took me a while to realize that these were lecture hall benches . Not the normal ones you see in schools . I finally felt that we were really in a university . I was excited for today . Yayyy!! . I am also happy about one thing that is ... we can eat here secretly and the lecturer wouldn't even notice what we are doing.
I suddenly heard someone bickering . I turned around and there was a boy and a girl sitting on the last bench . The girl was furious while the boy was trying to calm her down . They were the same people who messed with us at the entrance or specifically that asshole name -A-N-T-H-O-N-Y . So , they are going to take the same course as us . How !! Lucky of me..... HAHAHA.
I sat back straight looking at the white board.
" I guess we are early . I asked someone and they say that the professor informed someone and they texted in group saying that he would be a little late today. He would be here by 9: 20 . " Scarlet stated.
I was surprised . How did she know all that in just a second . She really is a socializer .
Then someone suddenly appeared through the door . It was professor Gilbert and guess what..... he was with The Leader of Student Council..... ACE.
I was so shocked and surprised at the sight of him . Even my heart started talking back to me .... beating at the speed of light . I couldn't even control it .
" Alright !! Students - cough- Since today I am not so well because of the ever changing weather- cough- Our student council is going to take -cough-this lecture on behalf of me - So please Co-operate"
"GET WELL SOON PROFESSOR "
" WE WISH YOU WELL SIR "
" PLEASE !! BE WELL SIR "
Everyone started wishing well to our BELOVED PROFESSOR.
He sat on his chair on the opposite side of the podium . By the way ... he said student council right , not leader -
As I was thinking a few students came through the door. Taking their positions.They were the Student Council professor was talking about. I guess this is going to be Grand . My FIRST DAY !!! YAYYYY!! .
" Alright !! So this is Aeson Lawrence . You guys can call me ACE too. I am going to be teaching you " DESIGN THINKING AND INNOVATION " .
He was standing at the podium while speaking in the microphone with his peers helping him with the content of the lecture.
" Wait !! Isn't he in the Tech - department ... Why is he teaching us " I whispered to Scarlet.
" Design thinking and Innovation is a common topic for both the fields. That's why it's so crowded today too. Since students from both fields have joined today ." Scarlet explained.
Oh ...So we have a subject in common . I am so Excited .
Wait .... why am I being this way . I can not feel this way . This is not good. I can not love someone . I do not deserve love either. Why ?? .... Why??? Can I get rid of this feeling . It's suffocating.
The student Council started teaching . I thought about it and Started focusing on the lecture. I took out a notebook and started taking notes from the lecture.
I couldn't control my eyes. They would drift towards the handsome figure of the Student Council Leader. I was so freaking possessed by some evil spirit.
I was staring at him intently at some point and our eyes met . He was confused but he ignored it .
(*Embarassing mode ON*)
" Hey !! Autumn ... Can you calm down a bit . You have been staring at him NON - STOP . Lower it a little bit. I mean your eyes. You might as well stare a hole in him " Scarlet accused me .
I stopped . I can't be like this . I focused on the lecture. Time passed by as If on a Roller-coaster. I managed to take notes for this whole lecture. WOW !! I really am a top Student.
" Alright ! We will stop here " Professor Gilbert said.
The Student Council started packing up and leave .
Scarlet urged me to leave to since our next lecture was around 11:30 and it was only 10:20 now.
" Why don't we go eat in the Cafeteria. " I Asked her.
She nodded and took my arm . We looked elegant as if we were in some old Romanian movie.
We entered the Cafeteria and Surprisingly it was not as crowded as we thought it would be . We quickly took our trays , pointed at whatever we liked to eat . They served the food on our tray and then we payed .
We both had the same food.
Spaghetti,Steamed vegetables, Orange juice, a slice of cheese cake and Yogurt . That's it .
I don't really have a huge appetite today .
We took our trays and slid into the nearest table we could find.
" We both are eating so less today . From tomorrow we need to step up our game a little " Scarlet muttered.
I nodded . All my focus was on food.
"Anyways, what's with you and that ACE guy. You kept staring at him this whole time. It was as if you were possessed. Do you know how awkward it was for me. I felt like I was third wheeling which I obviously was. " Scarlet questioned.
I ignored her question . I didn't know what to say . I didn't know how to answer her. I am questioning myself for doing what I did.
" Can I ask you a favor ??" I asked seriously.. trying to changing the topic .
" YES " She answered.
" I do not want to go - ..... Wait !! Why is your face so swollen . You told me that you are usually alright after taking your medicine but it seems to have worsened . You can't really see it from afar but from upclose it's crystal clear that you need a doctor. " I insisted.
" Nah - uh . I hate doctors . I don't want to go . Let's just go home . " she stood up and put away mine and her tray away and started to walk out of the cafeteria. She signaled me to follow and I did but she was soo fast that I couldn't catch up to her.
"Hey ! Scarlet wait up...." I called.
She stopped. I ran towards her and caught up to her.
" Don't we still have classes in the afternoon " I asked.
" It's alright . I am not feeling well so we should go home . I will apply for leave through e-mail later." She replied and I nodded my head in agreement .
She was walking fast towards the parking lot .... so fast that I had to run .
We soon reached her car and she opened it as fast as she could. I sat inside as she slid into her seat and started to drive .
She was driving really fast as if in a formula 1 race . I held onto the grab handle out of reflex.
" Aren't we going too fast Scar " I murmured.
" We don't have a choice . We need to get home as soon as possible otherwise i am going to collapse on the ground because an allergic reaction will start taking effect . If that happens then a car accident is evident ." She said in a serious tone.
I sat in silence after hearing that . We were in serious danger . My heart started pounding really fast , I was frightened and was feeling nauseous.
I closed my eyes and sat , stuck to my seat without moving an inch . I couldn't even look outside the window because of how fast we were moving .
" Hey Ash . We have reached our destination . Come one out. " Scarlet muttered.
I opened to door to the car and came out . I was feeling nauseous. The Air conditioner, leather seats and closer windows are really not a good combination .
I looked at the house . It was huge ~~
