[Past of Frank]
Frank: "Hey, miss, can you stop following me? You don't have to follow me. I don't have anything worth your time. You're just wasting it."
They were walking through the school garden.
Mary: "I'm not following you. We're just walking around the school. We coincidentally ended up on the same path."
Frank: "You mean coincidentally, right?"
Frank kept walking and entered a room. Mary followed without noticing where she was going.
Frank: "So you're a pervert? You like peeking into our private place?"
Mary: "Huh? I'm not! Why the hell would I waste my time doing such a worthless act?"
Frank: "Then why are you following me into the men's washroom?"
Mary looked around.
Only then did she realize she had entered the men's bathroom.
Her face instantly turned red.
She cried out in embarrassment and ran away.
Fortunately, there was no one inside the bathroom.
However, outside, several students had been secretly watching them.
When they saw Mary enter the men's bathroom, they imagined something completely different.
A few moments later, she ran out crying.
They assumed Frank had bullied her.
At that moment, they decided to make him pay.
The Next Day
As usual, Frank sat quietly at his desk.
This time, Mary completely ignored him, although she still looked embarrassed and angry.
The class teacher arrived.
His name was Gravit.
Gravit: "Hey, kids. Today we're going to study the Recoil Engine, created by Dream Engine X5 Corporation."
Frank was a genius in academics.
He already knew the lesson because he had studied it the previous night.
Gravit: "What made the Recoil Engine have such a great impact on the world?"
"You all know that mass can neither be created nor destroyed. The same applies to energy and charge. But what about atoms? We disproved Dalton's theory by splitting the atom."
"Now tell me—what happens if we apply the Theory of Cilbick to this?"
"You know that charge has quarks, while neutrons have no charge. But what if we convert a single neutron into a charged particle?"
"Normally you'll study this in higher classes as part of quantum physics."
"When a neutron was placed inside the new element JF—short for Jamferium—it transformed into an unseen fundamental particle. The other particles didn't react."
"For Jamferium to function properly, it must move continuously in every direction, which is why we use a Specomart."
"If you're interested, come to the staff room after class."
Hours passed.
Mary never looked at Frank once.
After school, however, several classmates called him into an alley.
Without warning, they shoved him against a wall.
One of them grabbed his collar.
Student: "What did you do to Mary? She was traumatized because of you. Spit it out!"
A large group surrounded him.
One student suddenly threw a punch.
Almost instinctively, Frank countered.
His fist landed first.
The boy collapsed onto the ground, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.
The others stared in shock.
Classmates: "Damn you! Take this!"
Frank: "Damn... now I can't escape this."
They charged at him.
Frank kicked one student.
He punched another.
A third rushed in.
Frank jumped over two attacks and stepped on one student's head, knocking him to the ground.
He continued dodging and counterattacking at the same time.
One after another, more than twenty students collapsed.
Frank simply walked away.
Frank: "DAMN IT!"
