Chapter 2 - Wishful husband

Yosefu frowned, grabbed the guy's shirt, and pulled him close, glaring at him.

"Easy, Yose, easy," Jusper said quickly, grabbing Yose's arm. "He didn't mean it, man. You know you're the top dog around here — just let it slide."

"Watch your mouth," Yose said coldly. "If you guys want to stay cool with me, don't talk like that. Otherwise, we're done."

He released the guy and walked off without looking back, clearly pissed off at how they were mocking the poor student who didn't fit their status.

He reached the parking lot, where a long black Cadillac — the six-door type — was parked. Around it were a few Altezzas gleaming in the sun. One man standing by the door opened it for him. Yose got in, followed by the guy carrying the bags.

The convoy started moving — the first black Altezza in front, then the long Cadillac, followed by another one behind — heading out through the university gate.

When the convoy passed, it wasn't far from where the girls still sat gossiping. They were startled by the sound of honking as the sleek cars turned the corner. The sudden silence that followed told everything — everyone's eyes followed the cars until they disappeared.

"God, I wish I had a husband living like that," said the girl in the red skirt dreamily. "Getting driven around by your own employees like a queen — whoever marries Yosefu will live the sweetest life ever."

"I'm telling you," her friend in trousers added,

"I'll do whatever it takes to get that guy — or at least someone close to him."

"Hehe! Next Saturday, those Maliga boys won't know what hit them. Even the Hehe kid will lose his mind. That family's no joke. Once I become their daughter-in-law, this whole city will know me!"

Their bragging went on, while Yosefu had already long left the area. The girls wasted their time gossiping instead of doing anything meaningful for their lives — too caught up in their shallow dreams. They were beautiful, sure, enough to make any man look twice, but their minds? Shallow as puddles.

Meanwhile, Yosefu's car arrived at a grand mansion — the kind with endless rooms and elegant architecture. The wide compound was filled with flower gardens of every color, and at the center of the circular driveway was a fountain spraying water high into the air.

The car stopped. A young man in workout clothes stepped out, went around, and opened the rear door. Out came Yosefu, dressed in a sporty tracksuit — jacket and pants — and crisp white sneakers that fit perfectly.

As he approached the house, another young man, also in workout clothes identical to his, came out to greet him. The guy wore a heavy cap and, seeing Yosefu, ran toward him with a wide grin, pulling him into a tight hug.

"Brother! The old man said no one can throw a punch like you. I came to see that for myself. Let's hit the backyard ring," Yosefu said with a smile.

"So you came to test your big brother, huh?" the other man laughed. "Let's see if you can actually take me on.".
