Michael's POV
"Girlfriend?" I repeated, the tension in my shoulders easing slightly. At least this wasn't about business or something that could threaten our family.
I exhaled the breath I hadn't realized I was holding and settled back into my leather chair. "I had no idea you were seeing anyone seriously."
"Dad, I am. We've been together for over a year."
My eyebrows shot up. A year and a half was substantial, especially for Reagan.
"I apologize for keeping it from you. I was waiting for the right moment to introduce her."
"You hid a serious relationship from me?" The words came out sharper than intended. "I thought we had moved past keeping secrets. But apparently, you still view me as some overbearing patriarch who doesn't deserve to know what matters in your life." The hurt was real, though I was prepared to work through it. "I'm disappointed, but let's address whatever you've done."
