Chapter 79 - Chapter 80: First Stop of the Morale Performance Tour - Lorentz Base

After offering this comfort, Siegel removed his hand from his daughter's head and continued looking at her.

"You prepare for such matters first. I'll go discuss with your Uncle Zala to determine the route for your morale performance tour."

"Mm."

Lacus nodded with a soft affirmation.

She looked at her father and bid farewell. "Goodbye, Dad."

After speaking, Lacus turned and walked out of the office. Once his daughter had left, Siegel stood up, straightened his appearance, and headed out.

In the Office of the National Defense Committee Chairman:

"What brings you here?" Patrick looked at Siegel with a joyful smile of meeting an old friend, teasing him lightly.

The teased Siegel smiled slightly, pulled out a chair and sat opposite Patrick.

Looking directly at Patrick without any hesitation, he stated his purpose clearly. "Patrick, I came to discuss something with you."

"Why be so formal between us? Just speak directly if you have something to say." Patrick replied with a bright, cheerful laugh.

Siegel looked at his friend and explained his daughter Lacus's idea. After hearing it, Patrick slightly furrowed his brows without giving an immediate response.

Seeing his friend's somewhat troubled expression, Siegel also felt somewhat embarrassed. "If it's too difficult, we can forget about this matter. I'll explain it to Lacus later - she'll understand."

"No problem! This matter isn't particularly difficult. It just requires some minor arrangements. Coincidentally, a transport fleet will be delivering supplies to Lorentz Military Base in a few days. Let her take her team and go together with the transport fleet to Lorentz Military Base! How about making Lorentz Base the first stop of her morale performance tour?"

Seeing the apologetic expression on his friend's face, Patrick explained his idea. After hearing this, Siegel looked up at Patrick and nodded with a smile. "No problem, let's proceed as you suggested."

"Since that's settled, have Lacus prepare properly to depart with the transport fleet. When she returns with the transport fleet, we'll arrange the second stop of her morale performance tour."

With his friend's agreement, Patrick finalized the matter. After making this decision, Patrick thought for a moment and proposed to Siegel: "Since it's a morale performance tour, I think we should arrange for more cultural and artistic workers to accompany the team. This will bring more joy to Lorentz Military Base, enrich their lives, and help relieve their mental stress."

After making his proposal, Patrick asked: "What do you think?"

"Mm. That's an excellent idea. I fully support it." Siegel agreed, standing up and looking at Patrick as he continued. "Leave this matter to me to arrange!"

"Mm! Thank you for your trouble."

"No trouble at all. This is what I should do."

Waving his hand, Siegel replied with a smile.

After replying, Siegel did not disturb Patrick any longer. Saying they would talk after work, he turned and left.

Watching his friend depart, Patrick first made some arrangements regarding the transport fleet, then placed a call to Lorentz Military Base.

In the commander's office of the central administrative district at Lorentz Military Base, Felix had just completed the preliminary draft of the combat plan when he heard the communication alert. Looking up at the interface, he reached out to accept the call, and Patrick's face appeared on the screen.

"Chairman, good day!"

Seeing Patrick, Felix raised his hand in a salute and greeted him.

Patrick nodded slightly and proceeded to explain the matter of the morale performance to Felix.

"After discussing with the Speaker, we've decided to arrange for a group to accompany the transport fleet to Lorentz Military Base to conduct a morale performance. This will help enrich the lives of our frontline soldiers and allow them to relax their tense nerves.

What do you think?"

"I fully support this!"

After listening, Felix expressed his support without hesitation. Hearing the response, Patrick continued.

"In that case, make the necessary preparations on your end as well. Arrange for soldier rotations to ensure there's no slack in defense because of this matter."

"Chairman, rest assured! I won't let such a thing happen."

Nodding in acknowledgment, Felix gave his assurance.

Patrick ended the communication at that point.

Looking at the terminated call, Felix shared the good news with all the soldiers at Lorentz Military Base, allowing them to rejoice in advance.

With that done, Felix began drafting a schedule for troop rotations and defense, ensuring everything was foolproof while giving everyone a chance to enjoy this rare opportunity.

A few days later, the transport fleet arrived at Lorentz Military Base. The passenger shuttle carrying Lacus and other cultural workers docked at an internal landing pad within the base.

Inside the passenger shuttle, Lacus looked out the window and saw Felix leading a group of base personnel there to welcome them. "Miss Lacus, the shuttle has landed."

Lacus's assistant, seated beside her, turned to remind her. Lacus withdrew her gaze, glanced at the assistant, and responded with a gentle smile and a nod.

She stood up and headed outside.

Outside the passenger shuttle, Felix watched as the shuttle's door opened. A girl with pink hair and a gentle smile on her face stepped out.

Seeing that distinctive pink hair, Felix immediately knew who it was!

At that moment, a hushed but excited exclamation reached his ears.

"It's Miss Lacus!"

Turning to look, he saw one of the staff members beside him, their eyes filled with the fervent gaze of a fan looking at Lacus. The staff member noticed Felix's gaze and quickly snapped out of it, the earlier excitement vanishing without a trace as they composed themselves.

Shifting his focus back, Felix looked ahead.

He saw Lacus walking toward him, accompanied by her assistant.

"We meet again, Captain Griffith."

Standing before Felix, Lacus wore an elegant smile on her face. Her melodious and gentle voice flowed from her lips as she spoke.

Looking at her, Felix responded with a faint smile and words of welcome.

"Miss Lacus, on behalf of all personnel at the Lorentz Military Base, I warmly welcome you and the other cultural workers!"

"Captain Griffith, you're too kind."

Lacus smiled slightly and replied modestly.

Felix remained silent, turning slightly and extending his hand in a gesture of invitation.

After doing so, he looked at Lacus and spoke.

"Miss Lacus, we have arranged a welcome banquet for all of you to celebrate your arrival."

"I'm sorry for the trouble."

Lacus felt somewhat embarrassed upon hearing that a welcome banquet had been arranged for them.
