Gabriel pulled back first, though his hands lingered at Ethan's waist.
"The design," he said, voice slightly rough. "Show me properly."
Ethan sighed dramatically but shifted to give Gabriel better access to the sketches. "Fine. But only because you asked so nicely."
Gabriel's lips twitched as he leaned over the drawings, his professional focus sliding into place.
His finger traced the modified band structure. "You widened this?"
"Two millimeters. The original felt too delicate for daily wear—they mentioned Mrs. Chen is a pianist. I didn't want the setting catching on keys."
"Smart." Gabriel pulled out a pen, making small notations. "And the prong placement?"
"Offset slightly. Better weight distribution." Ethan watched Gabriel's face as he analyzed the work. "What do you think?"
"I think you've already solved the structural issues you came here to ask about." Gabriel glanced at him, one eyebrow raised. "Which means this visit was definitely not sixty percent work-related."
