Chen ge hadn't expected to encounter Lycoris, nor to see her deal with a terrorist.
The fact that he could see her normally meant that this world wasn't as safe as it appeared.
Just then, the high school girl suddenly turned around and looked at him, but he had already averted his gaze, looking out the window at the scenery with Kanna.
He didn't know if the girl had noticed him watching her earlier, but since she had dared to deal with that terrorist just now, risking being discovered, it must have been a matter of urgency.
Given that, he would cooperate and pretend he hadn't seen anything.
He hoped she wouldn't target him.
That Lycoris indeed didn't have time to care about being discovered by Chen ge; the bomb was still counting down, and she needed to quickly notify someone to dispose of it.
Urgent footsteps soon echoed in the train cars on both sides, followed by several girls in similar uniforms, carrying small backpacks, who walked in.
They said little, gathered around the man, and quickly left with the backpack and the man's body.
Including the high school girl from the beginning.
Chen ge had been accompanying Kanna, looking out the window, trying not to get into trouble.
After a while, when the footsteps faded from his ears, he turned his head to look at where the man had been; it was already spotless, with no trace of blood.
As expected of a professional secret agent organization, their post-incident cleanup was incredibly swift.
He needed to get off the train quickly.
Chen ge wasn't afraid of the bomb exploding, but he was afraid of Lycoris coming back to find trouble.
It wouldn't be good if they wanted to interrogate him or erase his memory; he wouldn't cooperate, which would only lead to more trouble.
So, as soon as the train stopped at a station, Chen ge carried Kanna off.
"Chen ge? We haven't reached our stop yet, have we?" Kanna climbed onto his neck, making herself at home.
"So smart, you even know where we're getting off," Chen ge praised her, swaying her gently.
"Chen ge, where are you going?"
"I just saw a crepe stand. I'll take you to try some."
"Crepes?"
"Mm, a sweet, especially delicious pancake."
"Really?" Kanna's eyes lit up.
"Haha, won't you know in a bit?"
"Then let's hurry and eat!"
"Okay!"
The crepes were even tastier than omurice; Kanna ate three different flavors in one go and still seemed to want more.
Her small, pink tongue licked her lips, as if the lingering cream taste was still there, and her big eyes gazed longingly at the crepe stand.
Seeing her like this, Chen ge rubbed her head and asked with a chuckle, "Do you want more?"
"Can I?" Kanna's eyes widened.
"Of course."
"Chen ge, you're so nice!" A happy Kanna kissed Chen ge on the cheek.
*Smack*
Chen ge blinked, touched the spot Kanna had kissed, then waved his hand grandly, saying heroically, "Kanna, do you want to try all the flavors?"
"Really?" Kanna's small mouth gaped into an O-shape in surprise.
"I'm not lying to you!"
"Thank you, Chen ge!"
The stand sold a total of seven flavors of crepes. After the remaining four were made, Chen ge took Kanna and left.
This time, they didn't take the train again. They went into a small alley, and Chen ge took Kanna home directly using spatial movement.
The coffee shop was open for business. Chen ge took Kanna back to his room, and only two crepes were left.
Even though Kanna was small, she could open her mouth very wide; eating an entire crepe in one bite was no problem at all.
Chen ge looked at her bulging cheeks and found her exceptionally cute.
"Chen ge? Do you want to eat some?" Kanna saw Chen ge smiling at her and offered him the crepe in her hand.
"Hmm? Are you giving it to me?" Chen ge was a little surprised.
"Mm," Kanna nodded seriously, "Chen ge is very good, I want to share with you."
"Then I'll take a bite." Chen ge didn't stand on ceremony, leaning over to take a bite.
"Mm, delicious."
"Mm." Kanna didn't mind him; she popped the rest directly into her own mouth.
Her small mouth opened especially wide, changing shape, but surprisingly, it wasn't awkward at all, just as cute.
"Chen ge, do you want more?" Kanna offered him the last one.
"No need," Chen ge shook his head with a smile, "You eat slowly. I'll go set up the games first; I'll take you to play games later."
"Oh~" Kanna nodded obediently.
Chen ge rubbed her small head again before leaving the room and heading upstairs.
Installing the equipment was a minor issue; there weren't many parts, and it could be done easily. Young people nowadays are self-taught with these things.
However, he spent a lot of time on the games here. He had OCD; series had to be together, arranged aesthetically, and convenient to take out and put away.
Fortunately, Thor and the others weren't interested in games; only Utaha Kasumigaoka would want to know about them because of her novels.
So he only needed to prevent certain R-rated galgames from being seen by Kanna.
Actually, it didn't matter; Kanna was very obedient, he just needed to instruct her.
However, it still took him nearly an hour to organize everything, but looking at the brand-new game room, an hour was well worth it.
Without further ado, Chen ge immediately wanted to play games with Kanna, but when he went downstairs back to his room, he found she had already fallen asleep on his bed.
She hadn't even changed her clothes, and there was still a bit of cream from the crepe on her mouth.
Chen ge shook his head, went to the bedside, wiped her mouth clean, then covered her with a blanket, and went back upstairs to play games by himself.
He wasn't needed downstairs; it was the same with or without him, and going there would only mean staring blankly at the cash register.
Chen ge returned to the game room and started playing Pokémon. He needed to re-familiarize himself with this game, especially the legendary Pokémon within it; he needed to understand their abilities and settings, otherwise, he wouldn't know how to control them later.
Time always flew by when playing games. Before he knew it, two and a half hours had passed. If Chisato Nishikigi hadn't come up to find him for something, he wouldn't have known how long he would have played.
"Chen ge, there's something I need to tell you." Chisato Nishikigi walked into the game room and directly hugged his neck from behind.
"What is it?" Chen ge saved his game and turned to ask.
"Just now, DA suddenly contacted me."
"DA?" Chen ge frowned, "Why did they contact you?"
DA, or Direct Attack, was the independent security maintenance organization where Chisato Nishikigi used to be.
"Hehe~ Chen ge, no need to worry." Chisato Nishikigi giggled and hugged him tighter, "They didn't contact me for a mission, but to ask for a small favor."
"A small favor?"
"It seems like they want me to take care of someone or something."
"Wait, you said DA wants you to take care of someone?" Chen ge put down the game console and asked for confirmation.
"Yes, why?"
"No, it's nothing." Chen ge slowly shook his head.
Is she coming?
"Chen ge, is it okay? She seems to need to stay here."
"Do you want to help?" Chen ge asked in return.
"Hmm… I want to help, after all, the organization took care of me before, and now that I've left, I still want to repay them."
"In that case, no problem." Chen ge nodded with a smile.
"Is it okay?"
"It's just taking care of someone, why would I object? And you don't need to be polite with me, do whatever you want."
"Thank you, Chen ge! *mua*~" Chisato Nishikigi happily kissed Chen ge.
"Taking advantage of me, are you?"
"Eh heh~" Chisato Nishikigi playfully stuck out her tongue, acting cute and spoiled.
"No, I'm going to get it back."
"There's such a good thing?"
"..."
