The Dragon's Oath and the Shattered Crown

Asterion City trembles as the last echoes of the Earthwyrm's prophecy fade. Crown Prince Aren Valenhart stands amid the ruins, shaken by the dragon's words: "The throne you seek is not the throne you lost."
Before he can question further, the Sovereign System flashes:
[New Quest: Path of True Royalty]
[Objective: Ascend a throne that spans worlds]
Confused but determined, Aren prepares the group to travel to the nearby Skyward Monastery, rumored to hold records of dimensional kings. Tension simmers—Lyra watches Mira with quiet suspicion, Seraphine sparring with her at every chance, while Mira pretends she joined only for profit, though her eyes linger on Aren more than she admits.
During their journey, Aren begins experiencing visions of a broken crown floating in a void, surrounded by chains of light. Each vision grows stronger—almost painful—until the System finally reveals another hidden function:
[Sovereign Insight: You were not taken from your kingdom… you were chosen by another.]
The revelation fractures everything he believed.
At the Skyward Monastery, the group faces trials testing loyalty, desire, and fear—trials engineered by ancient spirits who once served a vanished Multiversal Emperor.
When Aren completes the final test, a spectral dragon descends from the heavens, bowing before him.
"I name you Heir of the Shattered Crown."
But the moment the oath binds, a rift tears open, and a masked woman steps out—radiating the same royal aura as Aren.
"Brother," she whispers. "Did you think you were the only chosen one?"
