"We know someone is behind all these things but what if this isn't how they intended for things to go?"
Xu Wei nodded thoughtfully
"That actually makes a lot more sense than trying to figure out how these three people are connected and why they were chosen."
Qin Yue cleared his throat.
"We can't keep guessing though. At least, confirming one hypothesis is better than just spinning tales. So, I would like to see if we can get the items found at your brother's accident scene. Can you do that?"
Everyone turned to look at Pei Lifu and she nodded.
Qin Yue smiled softly.
"Thank you. And the souvenir Bai Jinhai bought. Lin Cheng? I'll assume you know where it is?"
Lin Cheng nodded.
"I accidentally packed it along when I was leaving. I'll bring it along next time."
Qin Yue nodded curtly.
"Since that's settled, we can all go about our day. We'll meet when you've both found the things."
The discussion ended there and Pei Lifu made her way out, closely followed by Lin Cheng.
