Olivia Ravenwood kept on running with tears that almost blinded her.She ran and only stopped when she was tired of running
She stopped and was breathing hard while replaying the whole scenario that played out with Prince Andriac in the Palace
She could not stop crying no matter how much she tried to stop herself from crying.The harsh words from Prince Andriac made the tears flow more.
Tiredly she walked slowly home not noticing her environment but remained deeply in her sorrow
Suddenly Olivia heard her name being called across the road,she reluctantly looked and it was her friend Lira
She waited for Lira to cross the road and join her while she tried to clean her face and hide her predicament from Lira
Lira is not the kind of person to be easily deceived,so she quickly asked her what was wrong?.
Olivia shook her head in denial and said she was fine but Lira knew that was not true
Liv you cannot be fine while you are crying and looking so sad,who hurt you?.What's wrong?.
Olivia opened her mouth once again to lie to Lira but instead she started crying again while Lira led her to a bench by the side of the road.
There,she sat and with Lira's encouragement she told her the whole story.
Lira said I will be damned!,I knew that Prince Andriac was of no good to you
You mean that bustard hurt you?,after both of you have been together all these time?.
Lira continued while holding Olivia's hands,something tells me his sister gwen contributed somehow to this
Olivia could only nod while still crying
Lira held her and continue to comfort her until Olivia was calm
Then Lira said what about the baby?,what happens to the baby you are carrying?
Olivia knew she could not lie to her bossom friend because Lira was also a witch and saw beyond the ordinary
So Olivia said I will keep my baby,both Prince Andriac and his family do not deserve a place in my baby's life.
Olivia continued,though I fear for my safety and that of my baby if I stay in willow Brook because Prince Andriac may find out about the baby and would do something bad to us.
Lira asked her So what do you want to do now?.
Olivia said I would go far away from here to somewhere safe.Somewhere he can never find me or know where I and my baby is
Lira said I think that would be a good idea but if you go,how will you cope with a new baby in a new environment?
Olivia smiled in the midst of her tears I will cope somehow with my baby,believe me
Lira answered I think I would like to come with you to help you out.
Olivia still crying put her hands on her mouth and said no Lira you cannot just leave willowbrook for my sake
That's too much to ask from you.I cannot just uproot you from family and all you love just because of I and my baby.
Lira answered,I have always wanted to leave Willowbrook
You know Lira continued ever since I and Morgan split up I have been wanting to leave willowbrook and this looks like the perfect opportunity to do that.
Olivia tried to change the mind of her friend but all her attempts were futile until she gave up and accepted her friends request to follow her where ever she was going to.
Lira said at least accept my offer to help you for the sake of the baby.You need all the help you can get especially in a new place Lira pressed on.
Ok I accept Olivia smiled with tears still flowing from her eyes.
She pressed her friends hands and Lira hugged her tightly.
Lira looked up from olivias shoulder after a while and asked her.
Where do we do we go to?.I mean the world so big and large,we cannot just wander everywhere?.We need a place to settle where our identities as witches will not be a problem neither will it be discovered easily.
Olivia looked straight at Lira as she straightened up,I think the new world will be a better place.
Olivia wiping the tears from her face continued excitedly,its the place of the free and its so big that no one notices you.
Olivia continued to convince lira I have heard of some people from our witches community travel there and word is that there are no persecution of witches and no body bothers you there
Hmmn lira said thoughtfully sounds like a good place to go.
So when do we leave Lira asked?.
Olivia said we leave the week after this,I do not want Prince Andriac or his nosey sister to find out about the baby.
I also do not want to start showing my baby bump before leaving you know that will attract gossip that can spread like wildfire
The earlier I leave willowbrook the better for me
Lira said Co conspiratorially I could not agree more.I think that's the best idea
Lira drew Olivia to standstill from where they sat at the bench and said let me take you home before we attract a lot of peoples attention.
Olivia only nodded and followed her.
The two friends walked till they got to olivias house which was not far from lira's house.
Lira walked Olivia into her house and hurriedly made a pot of soothing tea for her friend which Olivia sipped from time to time absentmindedly
Lira stayed till Olivia said she felt like sleeping so she decided to leave,and Olivia hurriedly locked her door and went to bed.
Before lira left she promised to see Olivia the next day
Olivia got into bed and it was as if sleep fled from her eyes,she tried sleeping but to no avail.
It was at that time that Olivia thought about the first time she saw lira
