Within the basement, Felix found Katrina being stripped and strapped to a metal bed frame. Attached to the frame were a series of wires that connected to a series of antennas. These antennas were presented before the bed frame as if to give a front row seat.
Alongside the metal frame set up, he found a few other tools. Some such as cattle prods, tasers, and even shock collars. Basically, if it gives a shock, this guy has it somewhere laying around.
"L-let me go." Katrina cried out. "I won't say anything about you or your partner."
"Partner?" This made the man look puzzled.
"Isn't it that teenager who broke into the paper office?" Katrina looked puzzled.
A realization seemed to dawn on Katrina after a moment. Clearly she and her office misunderstood the teenager.
"I didn't appreciate being set on fire." Felix said interrupting.
This caused the man to freeze in his tracks at the sudden visitor and being discovered. Still, he didn't freeze for too long as lightning began to crackle around him. Which made the woman scream as she got a shock, while the man rushed towards Felix.
Thanks to the lightning, the man moved at incredible speed. So Felix quickly raised his arms as he slid backwards due to the impact. His arms felt a bit numb either from the man's seemingly incredible strength or the lightning coating his fist.
"Not bad." Felix said.
While he wasn't as fast as Laxus or fought like someone who makes a living as a mage. His lightning magic usage wasn't half bad. Maybe it was due to training his control so he doesn't fry his victims right off the bat. For this killer gets off torturing his victims with lightning, while killing is more of a by product.
Still, after giving his evaluation, Felix began to use his magic to enhance his body. His body strength, speed, reaction and defense skyrocketed. The Body Enhancement magic is a basic magic, but Felix thanks to ease of usage and a bit of practice took it to quite a high level.
"Body Enhancement Magic: Texas Smash!"
Taking a step forward, Felix gathered his strength and threw a punch swifter than sound. The air pressure generated formed a large torrent of wind as it slammed heavily into the man before him and overturned the metal frame.
"Ahh!"
"Help!" Katrine cried.
Bam!
The killer slammed heavily into the wall and crumbled to the floor. The lightning that once surrounded him faded away.
"That's it?" Felix blinked.
He thought with the flashy lightning wrapped around him, the man defense should have improved. Walking forward, Felix pulled the man's hands behind him and began to tie him up. Before he walked over the Katrine and untied her.
"Thank you."
Felix just gave a faint nod as he began tossing her clothes from before. While she was busy dressing herself, he began to look around the place a bit more. There wasn't much, besides a box full of women's clothes that had their sizes altered.

Later after calling the guards, Felix stood next to Aaron.
"So you were right." Aaron said. "He indeed went after the reporter."
Felix rolled his eyes at Aaron's words since it didn't sound like praise.
"So who is our lightning mage killer?"
"Jeremy Andrus. He is a part time electrician and magic tool repair man." Aaron answered.
While this world technology is more of a magic base, there is still technology that uses electricity. It is more on the rarer side and usually found more in cities than small villages or recently expanding cities.
So hearing that Jeremy is a part time magic tool handyman made sense. This also gave a reason for him to travel so much from those around him. While on the way to a job or even lying saying he is going on one, he could dump bodies along the way.
"Our time was short, but it was nice working with you." Felix politely said.
Once he said his piece, he left, deciding to head back to the guild. There is no point in staying around and his part of the job is done.
--
Time quickly passed and Felix stepped before the Fairy Tail guild. As if to greet him, the doors burst open and out flew a muscular man who uses muscle support magic. Calmly stepping over, he slipped inside making his way to Makarov to report the mission as complete.
"Done already?"
"Mmm."
"That's good." Makarov smiled.
Felix turned and found Mirajane sitting with her siblings. Glancing around, he didn't see his other friends around. So he simply went over and sat down.
"Mira, Lisanna." Felix said.
"Your back." Mirajane smiled.
"Welcome back." Lisanna gave him a one arm hug.
"What have you three been up to?"
"Just took down a few rank B magical creatures solo." Mirajane grinned.
She held up an arm to show off her muscle, but while she is strong, she didn't seem muscular. It felt a bit strange as her strength didn't match her appearance. Hard to imagine that this slender arm could break a thick tree with ease.
"Elfman, how is your training coming along?"
"It's going ok." Elfman shyly responded.
"If you're a man, then speak up, Elfman." Mirajane snapped.
"Ok, sis." Elfman stood at attention.
"So, how did your job go?" Lisanna shifted the topic.
"Nothing to note." Felix shrugged. "Went, found the killer, then came back."

Returning home, Felix sat within his empty house as he dumped his clothes into the washer. Unpacking his to go bag, he began placing the snacks on the counter when he heard his door burst open.
"Felix, I heard your back."
"Hello, Cana." Felix greeted.
The one bursting through his door was a brown-haired teen with a developing figure. A figure she recently became proud of as she began to ditch her dresses for pants and bikini tops. The sudden change from conservative to bold, seemed to happen recently.
"Do you like my new outfit?"
"It's nice." Felix agreed.
