Chapter 49 - vol 48

Ryan's wolf pressed his forehead into Kia's neck, breathing him in like salvation—

like a mate finally found.

Kia trembled.

His control snapped.

His wolf surged upward in a rush of silver heat, pushing behind his eyes, into his voice, into his skin.

"Bunny…" he whispered—but the sound came out deeper, rougher, laced with wolf.

Ryan's wolf responded instantly.

He lifted his head, gold eyes blazing, watching Kia shift right in front of him.

Kia's canines lengthened.

His wolf growled low and possessive.

His aura surged through the room like a shockwave.

Ryan shuddered on his lap.

His wolf liked that.

Wanted more.

Begged for it.

Kia's hands slid around Ryan's waist, pulling him tight against his chest.

"You claimed me," he growled softly.

"You dare… claim me first?"

Ryan's wolf didn't shrink back.

He leaned in—challenging, wanting, demanding.

And something inside Kia snapped beautifully.

His wolf surged to the surface completely, eyes glowing silver, chest rumbling with deep dominance.

He grabbed Ryan's chin gently but firmly, tilting his face up.

Ryan's wolf let out a soft breathless growl.

Then Kia lowered his head—

and bit him back.

Right on the junction of his shoulder and neck.

Not a full mark.

Not skin-breaking.

But strong.

Deep.

Possessive.

A return claim.

Ryan gasped—body jerking, hands clutching the back of Kia's shirt, his wolf melting under the dominance.

Kia didn't stop.

He pressed a slow, claiming bite, then soothed it with a soft lick of apology, then another gentle bite.

Ryan's wolf whined, arching into him.

Kia's voice came out raw:

"Mine.

Do you hear me?

My mate."

Ryan's wolf trembled and pressed closer, whispering breathlessly:

"Yours…"

Their wolves intertwined—heat against heat, aura against aura—

and the entire house felt it.

OUTSIDE THE ROOM – Max & Liam POV

Max and Liam were still frozen in the hallway.

At first… pure silence.

Then—

THUD.

The bed hit the wall.

Both jumped like electricity shocked them.

A deep growl followed.

Then another.

Liam's eyes widened.

"…He didn't kill him, right?"

Max stared at the closed door like it was a bomb.

"Kai… carried him inside."

"Yeah."

"And then the door shook."

"Yeah."

"And now the wall is shaking."

Max rubbed his face with both hands.

"Liam, this is not death. This is WORSE."

Liam blinked. "Worse how?"

Max hissed, whispering like a traumatized soldier:

"Boss never lets anyone near him when he's in heat.

And he just dragged Kia into his room."

"Maybe they're fighting?"

Another thud.

A very… suggestive thud.

A low whine.

Then a deep growl of satisfaction.

Max and Liam made the same "WHAT—" face at the same time.

Max covered Liam's ears dramatically.

"Don't listen. You're too young."

"I'm twenty-nine."

"You're too innocent!"

Inside the room, another growl sounded—

this time from both men.

Liam whispered:

"…Are they mating?"

Max slapped a hand over his mouth.

"If they start marking each other for real, I'm quitting this job."

A loud muffled WHINE echoed from behind the door.

Liam looks like a ghost, as if someone just stole the most precious thing for from him.

Max nearly told him sorry but thought about it and it wasn't really not necessary because he is an alphar and he should take care of his own emotion by himself. But he feels sorry for they guy but love can't just be forced.

"WE NEED TO LEAVE," Max whispered urgently.

"NOW."

They both scrambled downstairs , one man flee like a man fleeing a battlefield which the other looks as if he might faint anytime soon.
