Daniel ran incredibly fast, leaving Matt Lawyer standing alone in the middle of the hallway, facing a group of murderous ninjas.
That scoundrel!
Matt cursed inwardly and immediately took a fighting stance.
Unexpectedly, the footsteps that had just disappeared around the corner of the hallway quickly returned.
Daniel came back to Matt Lawyer's side, his face full of righteous indignation: "Matt Lawyer, I thought about it seriously, and I still can't abandon my comrade and escape alone, so I've decided to come back and fight alongside you!"
Matt did not speak.
Because in his perception, another group of ninjas emerged from around the corner, forcing Daniel back.
Ninjas from both sides gradually closed in on the two from opposite ends of the hallway.
Just as they were about five meters away, all the ninjas suddenly stopped in unison.
The crowd parted like a tide, and a sexy woman walked out from among them; she was dressed in a striking red ninja suit, with slits so high they almost reached her waist, perfectly showcasing her two long, muscular legs.
The female ninja's gaze swept over Daniel and Matt, and she said coldly: "Hand over the ledger, and we might consider leaving you with intact corpses."
Matt heard her voice and said in surprise: "Your voice sounds a lot like my ex-girlfriend."
The female ninja: "."
Daniel: "."
Good heavens, that pickup line is way too cliché.
"What ledger? We've never even seen it!" Daniel vehemently denied, decisively dragging Matt into the Water.
"In that case, you'll stay here forever!"
The female ninja snorted coldly, charged forward, and wielded two sai, stabbing fiercely at Matt!
She didn't know why she chose Matt as her target; she just subconsciously felt a strong urge to beat him up.
"Erica, it really is you!"
Matt swiftly dodged, relying on his superhuman senses; this unique weapon further confirmed her identity.
Upon hearing that name, the female ninja's brow furrowed slightly, as if it had stirred some deeply buried memories.
And so, she fought even harder!
Daniel shook his head at the sight: "Recognizing an ex-boyfriend is basically courting Death, the best ex is a dead ex!"
At the same time, the surrounding ninjas swarmed him!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Daniel decisively opened Fire, instantly blowing off the heads of several ninjas.
The other ninjas reacted extremely quickly, immediately throwing several smoke bombs to the ground, and dense smoke instantly filled the hallway, engulfing everyone.
However, the smoke did not hinder the ninjas' movements; instead, it became their cover.
They skillfully merged into the smoke, their figures becoming blurry and indistinct, approaching Daniel's position like ghosts, intending to launch an attack from within the smoke.
Just as a black-clad ninja stealthily crept near Daniel, pulling out a shuriken and preparing to strike.
A gun-wielding arm suddenly pierced through the smoke, the muzzle precisely aimed at his forehead.
"Brother, want to buy a hack?"
Bang!
A gunshot rang out, and the ninja fell to the ground.
Daniel could see all the ninjas' red markers on the mini-map.
Even with obstructed vision, he could easily pinpoint these ninjas, who thought they were perfectly hidden, by simply judging their approximate direction from the mini-map.
In fact, the ninjas' cautious movements made it even easier for Daniel to aim.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang—!
Daniel stared at the red dots on the mini-map and raised his gun, spraying bullets into the smoke.
Each gunshot was accompanied by the disappearance of a red dot on the map; he wasn't even trying to hide it.
When the smoke slowly dissipated, ninja corpses lay scattered across the ground, likely furiously reporting Daniel after their Death.
Meanwhile, Matt was caught in a bitter struggle.
Having recognized the opponent as his ex-girlfriend Erica, Matt was full of reservations, his moves constantly restricted, only able to passively block and dodge.
Erica, on the other hand, had no qualms, her attacks ruthless, aiming directly at Matt's vital points, and her crotch kicks were used so frequently it was as if they had no cooldown.
"Erica! It's me! I'm Matt!"
Matt sensed that Erica seemed to have lost herself, and he continuously called out her name in between blocks, trying to awaken her memories.
"Matt?"
Erica's movements showed a slight hesitation, her brow furrowed, as if she was trying to recall something.
Matt's heart swelled with joy, thinking he saw hope: "Erica! Have you finally remembered?"
He subconsciously relaxed his guard and moved closer, only to be struck in a vital spot by Erica's crotch kick, instantly donning a mask of pain, bending at the waist and kneeling on the ground.
What a brilliant feint!
Daniel, watching from the side, couldn't help but chuckle: "Matt Lawyer, how could your method of awakening memories possibly work? Let me do it."
Daniel put away his golden desert eagle and slowly walked towards Erica.
"Hey, do you remember who you are?"
Erica didn't answer, as cold as a killing machine, and without a word, she charged at Daniel, quickly thrusting out her two sai!
Eye of Death!
Time slowed abruptly, and Daniel calmly avoided the sai.
Then
"Thai Boxing Warning!"
Daniel unleashed a powerful elbow strike, mercilessly smashing it towards Erica's cold and beautiful face!
Erica's pupils constricted, and her combat instincts drove her to barely raise her arms to cross-block.
Bang!
A dull thud echoed!
The immense force made Erica grunt, and she was elbowed backward, crashing heavily onto the ground several meters away.
But Erica was a top assassin after all, and she quickly sprang up with a carp jump.
However, her cross-blocked arms were clearly red and swollen, and what was even more unbearable for her was that half of her cheek quickly showed clear bruising and swelling.
A hint of anger involuntarily rose in her originally machine-like, cold and emotionless eyes!
It proved that even if all past memories were forgotten, some feminine instincts remained deeply ingrained.
"Die!"
Erica, like an enraged leopardess, charged again recklessly, delivering a fierce airborne whip kick towards Daniel!
Daniel reacted extremely quickly, raising his arm to block the whip kick, then seized Erica's ankle and forcefully swung her towards the nearby wall.
Bang!
Erica slammed heavily into the solid wall with a dull thud, feeling the impact reverberate through her internal organs.
Before she could catch her breath, Daniel's assault descended like a storm!
As a top assassin, Erica's physical prowess and combat skills were first-rate.
Unfortunately, she encountered Daniel, this cheater.
With the blessings of Eye of Death and Thai Boxing Warning, as long as he didn't encounter some absurd mechanic monster, Daniel could easily crush all enemies with lower stats than him.
The battle didn't last long.
Under Daniel's fierce assault, Erica gradually couldn't keep up, and was finally struck in the abdomen by Daniel's powerful uppercut, completely losing her fighting ability and collapsing to the ground.
Daniel stepped forward, grabbed Erica's collar, and lifted her upper body: "How about it? Have you remembered anything?"
Erica didn't answer, only stared at Daniel with eyes full of murderous intent and anger, as if she wanted to devour him alive.

Daniel didn't hesitate for a moment, delivering another heavy punch to Erica's already swollen cheek!
Then he asked again: "Now? Still haven't remembered?"
Erica gritted her teeth, still glaring stubbornly.

Another heavy punch landed on her face!
"Remember quickly!"
"Ah ah ah! I'm going to kill you!"
Bang!
"Have you remembered?"
"I remembered! My name is Erica! I remembered everything!"
After an unknown number of punches, Erica finally shouted her name.
The chaotic fragments of memory in her mind seemed to be forcibly pieced together, and she gradually remembered everything.
Matt listened on, dumbfounded.
This wasn't awakening memories; this was clearly beating a confession out of her!
