Arthur frowned deeply at the last line Gary dropped. It felt like a punch to the gut.
It hadn't been Arthur's decision to sell those shares. The conglomerate needed the cash, and his wealthy backers were quickly losing trust in his ability to run Vanguard.
Now, because of Gary's big mouth, he was losing trust before everyone in the room all over again.
"I've had enough of this, Gary!" Arthur shouted, slamming his hand on the table.
"Don't forget I am still the CEO of this brand. If you think you're so smart, why don't you give me a better idea on how we can do better?"
