Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 — Morning L LITERALLY

I woke up floating.

Not dramatically. Just a few inches off my bed like the universe was messing with me again.

Then I dropped. Blanket fell on my face. I didn't even bother reacting. If anything, I was too tired to care.

"Rough morning?" Luna-chan asked from the foot of my bed.

I peeled the blanket off. "It's always rough when I wake up first."

The tiny bunny-cat creature flicked its tail. "You were glowing again."

"Love that for me," I said. "Truly."

I pushed myself up, but something was off. My hand was… sparkling. Light pink. Crawling up my arm slowly, like it had all day to ruin my life.

"No. Don't start," I warned it.

It started anyway.

The wand popped into my hand with a soft chime. I stared at it like it was a bill I didn't want to pay.

"It's literally morning," I muttered.

A flash erupted through my room — bright, loud, unnecessary. When it faded, I stood there in full magical-girl uniform. Hair perfect, clothes glowing, face annoyed.

"This outfit is too loud for 7 AM," I said.

Luna-chan nodded. "It suits you."

"It's a cry for help," I corrected.

I un-transformed, grabbed my bag, and left before reality found another excuse to harass me.

By the time I reached the school gates, glitter was still stuck in my hair. I tried brushing it out, but glitter doesn't believe in letting go.

"Aikaa!!" Rei shouted the moment he saw me. He sprinted like he was running from death itself.

I kept walking. Bad choice. He followed.

"Did you feel the moon last night? The energy was—"

"No."

"But—"

"No, Rei."

Kai was leaning against the wall, pretending he didn't care about anything. He glanced at my hair, then nodded.

"You transformed again."

"Why does everyone keep announcing it like news?" I asked.

Kai pointed. "You've got glitter. Right side. Big chunk."

Great. Amazing. Love that.

I tried wiping it off and only succeeded in making it worse.

The sky split open.

No warning — just a violet crack forming over the courtyard like someone tore a sticker off reality. Students screamed. Rei gasped like he'd been waiting for this moment since birth.

A woman stepped out of the rip wearing way too much dramatic fabric.

"I am here for—"

"Please don't introduce yourself," I said. "It's too early."

She frowned. "—the girl with the moon power."

"Yeah. That's me," I sighed.

The wand appeared in my hand again. I didn't fight it. Fighting it never works.

A flash hit. Another transformation. Another wave of sparkles I did not sign up for. When it finished, I stood there in full magical form, half awake and entirely done with life.

The villain stared. "You transform out of… irritation?"

"I transform because I'm hungry," I said.

Then I flicked my wand.

One shot.

She flew backward into her own portal like someone unplugged her.

Silence dropped over the courtyard.

Rei was shaking with excitement. Kai just nodded like he predicted the whole thing.

"Can I go eat now?" I asked.

No one argued.
