Chapter 2 - Reincarnation as....

They thought they'd died, the silver lining in this was the fact they died together but unexpectedly they found themselves in a white room, standing before them was a woman of otherworldly beauty no mortal could possess.

Dressed in an ancient Roman robe with a golden tiara and a mysterious halo at her back, screaming as if an otherworldly being.

Gabriel was about to enjoy this beauty like any normal man should, appreciating it, but how could Lilith permit this?

"Do you wish to die again?"

Gabriel clicked his tongue and reluctantly stopped admiring the beauty before her, the said beauty shook her head in amusement. It was unthinkable that others would see this scene; it was too unreal. She shook her head once more to get over it.

Lilith kept glaring at the beautiful woman, she shielded Gabriel behind her like a mother protecting her child.

''You died in your original world and because of a promise to someone in the past, I'll be reincarnating you in a world of magic. There's no need to ask questions as I'm not going to answer any of them. The beautiful woman snapped her fingers, and the stunned couple began to slowly vanish.

''Enjoy your new life. You'll understand as time passes. You'll reincarnate in a perfect body with the appropriate strength. May this life be more pleasing!"

Those were the last words the couple heard before vanishing completely. In that moment, they felt like they knew this woman; it was a fleeting thought before light swallowed them completely.

Meanwhile, the beautiful woman looked at where the couple had vanished before sighing heavily.

''Things are about to get chaotic, hehehehe!''

A throne materialized, and she sat on it, her lips curved upward, ready to enjoy the show.

Somewhere in Edea's world.

The forest was humble, dense, and budding. Its canopy was contested by asp, hazel, and cypress, and ample openings let enough dancing beams of light through for a motley of sprouts to reign the nut and seed-covered grounds below.

Quiet vines embraced many a tree, and a variety of flowers, which claimed remnants of light, stood out against the otherwise mundane forest floor.

A clamor of sounds, belonging mostly to foraging animals, echoed in the air and was out of sync with the occasional splashes of frogs jumping in the nearby lake.

There was a sudden flash of light, and from the light, two people appeared, it was Gabriel and Lilith, but compared to their appearances on Earth, it was completely different.

Gabriel was taller, almost reaching two meters tall, with a pair of beautiful wings, six on each side, making a total of twelve white wings, long golden hair with matching golden eyes; he was the epitome of holiness. His appearance was perfect, as if God had personally crafted him in his image. The surroundings brightened at his presence, new flowers and plants seemed to bloom at his presence, his expression was calm, pacific, holy even.

In contrast, Lilith was different, the total opposite; she exuded complete debauchery. Her appearance was the epitome of seduction: two curved dragon horns with a tail and draconic wings, long gray hair mixed with crimson at the end. Her body could push any man to sell their parents just to see her bat an eyelid. If God had created Gabriel, then a Demon God had created Lilith in response. The surroundings seemed to bow to her in worship; it was both amazing and disturbing at the same time.

The couple looked at each other, studying their difference calmly. Not only had their appearance changed, but their temperament as well; something fundamental had changed inside them.

''You look holy, so much it's sickening,'' she remarked after scanning him.

She felt instinctual aversion toward him, so much she wished to tear him apart, but her love for him surpassed everything, so she was able to put it under control.

''You look like a bitch, I mean no offense,'' Gabriel replied, also feeling aversion toward her, momentarily finding her repulsive, but he shook his head to throw out these weird feelings.

Each could feel boundless strength giving them the illusion they could achieve anything if they wanted; it wasn't an illusion, it was reality.

They each understood to which race they belonged.

''I'm from the angel race, an archangel to be exact,'' Gabriel said as he looked at his girlfriend, his eyes filled with love.

''I'm from the demon race, one of the original demons, a primordial demon, a mixture between a succubus and a demonic dragon, the absolute demon.'' Lilith declared with a smug expression, she seemed really proud of her origin, so was he.

''To think, we will die so mysteriously and be reincarnated as archangel and primordial demon, from the original races. I felt like I was really myself after a long time. This feeling is so strange.''

''I felt the same.'' Lilith shared her opinion as well. It didn't feel like they got reincarnated; it felt like they were back in their hometown after spending a long time elsewhere.

The couple each understood their strength, their element. Demons are known for their natural affinity to the darkness element, while they could also use the space element, only the original demon, though.

Angels naturally wield the Light element, and the most powerful one is capable of wielding the Time element, now wasn't the time to dwell on what they could do.

After knowing how powerful they were the couple stared at each other.

''I'm an archangel!"

''I'm a primordial demon,'' she responded.

''This made us Primeval Couple,'' he said jokingly and she nodded.

''What to do?" She asked next as the wind caressed her white face.

''Explore this world as we understand why we felt like we felt. We will discover everything as we explore this new reality of us.'' he proposed a plan and she nodded after a moment of consideration.

''Let's do that.'' she accepted her man suggestion.

''Let's stop by the nearest city before starting.'' she made this suggestion before taking his hand, as she wished her horns became smaller, her hair whitened. At the same time, her eyes remained crimson, her wings vanished as well as her tail, she didn't wish to hide her demon's origin, hides the fact she was a primordial demon, Gabriel hide his wings, leaving his face like the original, like his woman he hide the fact he was an archangel, the strongest and leader of the God race, people could feel he was angel, though.

Even without the information provided by their racial trait and reincarnation, they knew from their reading experience that those two races were incompatible, like oil and water, to never mix but this didn't concern them. Whoever stands in their way, in the way of their love, would be eliminated without exception, the most powerful and dangerous storm Edea would experience had been unleashed.
