Chapter 7 - plot at work

MC's POV

"There is nothing wrong with loving someone and protecting that person," he said loudly, as if delivering a speech to the world instead of a classroom full of children.

Then he pulled Mikoto to his side and hugged her as well.

"In my heart, I love both of them equally," he declared without shame. "Anyone who hurts my women will pay."

The classroom fell into stunned silence.

Kushina's face turned red. Mikoto trembled slightly but didn't resist. Both of them looked moved—confused, emotional, swept up in his boldness.

For a brief second, I almost removed the protagonist aura influencing them. It would have been simple. A slight adjustment to their emotional clarity.

But I stopped myself. It's Not worth it.

However, one person in my squad did not remain silent.

The only woman among us let out a sharp snort.

"Kid," she said coldly, stepping forward. "What is your age?"

Rin frowned but didn't answer.

"At this point," she continued, "I'm not even interested in arresting you. Tell me the name of the person who taught you this nonsense. That's the real villain here."

Her tone was mocking but serious underneath.

"How does a six-year-old child talk about loving two women equally? About possession? About 'my women'?"

The classroom shifted uncomfortably.

Rin's jaw tightened.

"Move back," he told Kushina and Mikoto quietly.

Ah.

He's going to resist.

"Rin Uchiha," I said calmly, "are you refusing lawful arrest? Do you wish to be registered as a rogue ninja?"

At my signal, every member of my squad unsheathed their short blades.

Metal glinted in the classroom light.

Rin slowly drew his black katana.

ANBU appeared along the ceiling and windows, silent but watching. They would only interfere if the children were in danger.

"I will not come with you," Rin said firmly. "I will go to the Hokage alone and explain my position."

"That is impossible," one Uchiha officer replied flatly.

Rin tilted his head and looked at the heavy-built chunin in my squad.

"Then it's unfortunate," he said softly. "Don't blame me if you lose your life. I can't control my strength."

His eyes began glowing white.

Blue lightning wrapped around his blade.

The teacher gasped. "What is that?!"

"That is Brother Rin's self-created ninjutsu," Mikoto said with pride. "It's very fast and deadly."

"Self-created?" Kushina repeated in shock.

Then—

Boom.

Rin vanished.

A slicing sound tore through the air.

But it wasn't flesh being cut.

It was empty space.

The chunin had already used Body Flicker.

Normally, Rin's speed would have overwhelmed him.

But ever since I adjusted the world's reaction threshold…

Even average ninjas had improved.

Before Rin could process what happened, a heavy fist smashed into his face.

Crack.

His head snapped sideways.

Bang.

He flew into the wall and slid down, leaving a dent behind him. His nose bent at an unnatural angle. Blood poured out. Several teeth scattered across the floor.

"Brother Rin!" Kushina and Mikoto screamed.

They tried to rush forward but were stopped by two Uchiha officers.

The heavy chunin rolled his wrist casually.

"All that buildup for glowing eyes and lightning sparks?" he said bluntly. "It's just a straight-line dash."

Rin's expression shattered.

"But the special effects were impressive," the female officer added with a sneer.

That broke something inside him.

I stepped forward calmly.

"Enough. Arrest him." The two officers moved in.

"No… impossible…" Rin muttered, staring at the chunin. "How can he be so fast?"

He truly believed his Thunder Breathing was invincible below elite jonin.

And yet he was defeated by an ordinary chunin.

"Was there anything special?" the chunin added casually. "Blue glowing eyes, then making Sparks and at last just a stright charge."

Rin trembled.

He almost cursed him, but stopped midway.

He couldn't accept this loss.

Not like this.

"Shut up!" he roared and his eyes turned red.

Sharingan activated and three tomo was spinning in his eyes.

The entire class gasped.

The heavy chunin suddenly froze, caught in a genjutsu. His body trembled violently.

I immediately stepped forward and placed my hand on his shoulder, disrupting the illusion.

He snapped back but collapsed to one knee, breathing heavily.

Rin tried to cast another genjutsu on me.

But I didn't look into his eyes. Seeing this rin changed his statagey and started to form hand signs. I calmly formed same hand signs as his.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique."

A massive fireball erupted from Rin's mouth.

My eyes sharpened.

This was it.

My opportunity to kill him I also completed my hand signs quickly.

My fireball was slightly smaller in size but I poured my reserved energy into it.

The compressed power inside it rivaled a small Tailed Beast Bomb.

If it connects he would surely die but suddenly trajectories of both fireball change as if they were attracted by someting.

Both of them were drawn toward the classroom entrance.

The flames collided harmlessly near the doorway, dispersing outward.

I exhaled slowly in irritation.

Of course.

As the smoke cleared, an old woman stood at the entrance holding a sealing scroll.

"Grandma!" Kushina shouted and ran toward her.

Yes she was none other then Mito Uzumaki, Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails.

She didn't look at Rin.

She looked at me.

"Uchiha boy," she said calmly, though her presence weighed heavily on the room, "using such destructive ninjutsu inside a classroom is not a wise move."

She did not blame Rin.

Her eyes were locked on me.

Her gaze was very sharp and for the first time i felt genuine annoyance.
