~~~Author here, this will either be my last chapter till next year. I'm going to go back home and spend time with my family for the holidays, but I will restart uploads around January 5th. On that note, though enjoy the chapter.~~~
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
"I DON'T WANNA DIE!!!" Eyes bursting open in a panic, I sat up gasping for breath, sweat covering my body as I began trembling. "Wha... what was that? Did I really just die?" I looked down at my trembling hands. "A dream, it had to be a nightmare, right?" *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* "SHUT UP!!!" Slamming my hand on top of my alarm clock, I ripped it off my nightstand and threw it across the room into the wall in front of me.
Getting out of bed, I staggered my way to the bathroom so I could check myself out for any injuries. After getting to the bathroom, I looked at myself within the mirror, and what I saw cemented my fears. Fresh pink skin, that's what greeted my eyes as I looked at myself. This new skin, although slowly fading back to my standard skin tone, was all the proof I needed. It wasn't some sort of nightmare or hallucination, no, it was real, I died, I was ripped apart by beam fire.
Dropping to my knees, my breathing became eradicate once more, scenes of my death filled my mind. This was something I've never experienced before, sure this wasn't my first time dying but before it was painless. This though this was anything but painless, I could feel each shot punch through me, skin, blood, and bones evaporating during each shot. I could feel it all and the final nail in the coffin was the helplessness I felt, I was powerless and that fear was almost as bad as each shot.
Minutes passed and the sense of time quickly left me, after god knows how long I slowly began calming down. "I'm alive.... everything will be ok I'm alive that's all that matters." I kept repeating that line like it was my own personal mantra and soon my breathing calmed. I stayed on the ground for several more minutes before I took a deep breath and slowly pulled myself back onto my feet. Turning on the faucet I splashed some water on my face and after drying off I went back to my room.
I took my time getting dressed, checking the time on my watch I saw that it was already lunchtime so instead of going to school I just decided to go get some food. Leaving my home I started to walk around looking for somewhere to eat at, eventually I found myself and a nice little restaurant where I ordered a bole of rice with Tonkatsu and began to eat while thinking on what to do. I died, a lot more graphic than before but it was something I was coming to terms with.
If I died once within those trials then it'll differently happen again, and the zero system for all of its benefits it too will show me my death, I was just luck that it hasn't yet or else I wouldn't know how to react especially mid fight. Realizing this I figured that while I could use the trials to grow stronger I could also use it to dull my fear of death. I don't want to die again but in a life or death fight the one who fears death less will control the fight and I refuse to let my fears control me and cause my death.
With these thoughts in mind I paid for my food and left, walking around I figured that I should get myself a phone and other items to make my life easier. Walking from shop to shop I was soon overwhelmed with bags of groceries, a iphone bag, and pockets full of receipts for deliveries to my home. Returning home I dropped off my bags and got my house all situated. By the time I was done situating everything the sun already began to fall so I broke out a pan and a steak and began cooking.
Pouring oil into the pan I let in begin to warm up, as this was happening I was seasoning the steak with salt with prepping the butter, garlic, and thyme. Once the oil was hot and ready I put the steak in and placed a cast iron weight on top of it, after several minutes I fliped the steak and repeated the processes. Doing this several time I cheacked the internal heat and after being satisfied with the temperature I dropped in the butter, garlic, and thyme and began basting the steak. After a minute or so I took the steak off the pan and after letting it rest for five minutes I placed it onto my plate and began cutting into it and admired my work at the perfect medium rare while savoring each bite. (a/n tbh I was just really hungry while writing this part and I wrote what I was making myself for dinner lol)
After eating and cleaning everything up I sat down on the couch and checked on my system.

After reviewing everything I let out a sigh of disappointment, all my plans of grinding where harshly shut down as I refused to even think about trying again in a Zaku I. Realizing that I'll have to go back to school tomorrow I let out a sigh as I left the house and entered my backyard. Standing in the center of my yard I took a deep breath while looking up at the stars above. Minutes passed as I felt a sense of peace wash over me as a new wave of resolve reinforced itself within me.
With a mental command I called forth the Zero and relished in the feeling of it's power, I felt the hum of the Zero system in the back of my mind. "This is a mobile suit, this power should be the bare minimum of what I should be satisfied with." Speaking these words out loud I felt something indescribable, it was as if the zero was alive and agreeing with my words. It was as if it promised to carry me to heights untold and will be here for whenever I would need it. It was the suits silent resolve and with this feeling came a feeling of confidence that I though I lost.
Determination filled me to match my suits will as I spread my wings and with a resounding gust from my thrusters I launched myself into the sky. The nights sky soon meet me once more as I flew through clouds and over houses. I flew with no true purpose but the feeling of this freedom, the weightlessness as I flew was truly intoxicating. This feeling was abruptly ended as my hum light up as it detected a large source of magical energy before it suddenly vanished. Curiosity filled me as I went to the origin of the fleeting source of magic and within seconds a black translucent barrier was in front of me.
Placing my hand against the barrier I felt it give under my hand, seeing that I could enter I slowly pushed forward through the wall. What awaited me on the other side was a familiar sight, it was a park more specifically it was the park I slept in on my first night here not even two days ago but the as I continued looking I was shocked to see a scene that should not be happening yet. A familiar face from school, Issei Hyoudou with a gaping hole in his stomach and a fallen angel laughing above him. "This shouldn't be happening yet, it's too soon." Gliding thorough the air I appeared behind the fallen and taped her on the shoulder "excuse me miss, before I kill you could you please tell me the date?
