Chapter 245: 264. Entering the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

Tang Hao placed a heavy hand on his son's shoulder and said meaningfully, "Little San, you must win this Soul Master Tournament. You have more reason than anyone to succeed. That hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor spirit bone—it's tied to your mother. It's her relic."

Tang San feigned shock as he looked up at him. (He had no intention of revealing his reborn identity to his father.)

Seeing the questioning look in his son's eyes, Tang Hao spoke with deliberate gravity. "As for your mother… the truth will reveal itself in time. For now, all you need to remember is this: win the championship, reclaim that spirit bone. It's your mother's legacy to you, understand?"

(In this lifetime, after all the chaos between him and Ah Yin, Tang Hao didn't want Tang San to learn the full story.)

"Yes, Father," Tang San said with firm conviction.

"Good." Tang Hao nodded, patting him once more, about to suggest taking him to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to increase his strength. But then Tang San spoke up first.

"Father, I know there's a land of fortune in the Sunset Forest—but I can't get close to it. Can you take me there?"

Tang Hao froze for a moment. He hadn't expected that even without Dugu Bo in this timeline, Tang San could still sense the place. Truly a child favored by destiny—but then again, destiny favored his child.

"Hahaha, very well. I'll take you."

And so, Tang Hao led his son quietly out of Shrek Academy.

As they traveled, Tang San's mind raced. After Spirit Hall's meddling, what could possibly remain in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well?

The Qirong Tongtian Chrysanthemum, the Brilliant Golden Tulip—herbs of that level—they were probably long gone, plucked by Chrysanthemum Douluo's greedy hands.

However, the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and Infernal Delicate Apricot—poisonous paired herbs—were different. Chrysanthemum Douluo couldn't possibly have known that consuming them together produced an extraordinary result. And even if he did, he would've never dared test such volatile substances personally.

That meant—Tang San thought—the key to his advancement could still be waiting there. His Blue Silver Grass, before evolving into the Blue Silver Emperor, was steered by both fiery and icy opposites. These two plants were essential if he wanted to break those limits.

He sighed inwardly. Dai Mubai, Fatty, Oscar… pity, they'd have to make do with weaker substitutes. I'll just eat the real treasures and give them some second-rate herbs to keep them satisfied.

Tang Hao, meanwhile, had entirely different thoughts.

He eyed the future greedily. Letting all the treasures in that valley be wasted on outsiders like those kids from Shrek would be a crime. This land belongs to the Tang family. He smirked inwardly. Even if Tang San doesn't need them, my other sons certainly will.

(Though he now recognized Tang San as his child, a part of him couldn't forget that Tang San was technically an interloper. So in his mind, once Ah Yin was revived, he'd father more children—real ones in both body and soul. They might never reach Tang San's godly heights, but at least one of them could secure a first- or second-level divine seat.)

With those separate ambitions, the father and son entered the Sunset Forest.

Compared to before, the journey was far more perilous. Ten-thousand-year spirit beasts appeared frequently, but Tang Hao casually flattened each one. He also took the chance to show off in front of his son, demonstrating the overwhelming might of a "loving father."

Finally, they reached the Ice and Fire Valley. To their surprise, the barriers and poisonous mists that had once obscured it were now gone.

Climbing up a rocky ledge, they looked down and saw the valley's heart: a pool divided cleanly in two halves—one icy blue, exuding bone-piercing frost, the other fiery red, radiating waves of heat.

All around the springs, countless herbs blanketed the valley floor—every one a priceless treasure.

But Tang San barely glanced at those. What truly mattered were the immortal-grade herbs. Activating the Purple Demon Eye, he began scanning carefully.

The Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass—present.

The Infernal Delicate Apricot—present.

Hope Water Teardrop Dew—still there.

Relief surged through him. His holy trinity of herbs remained intact. Perfect.

He continued to search. The Qirong Tongtian Chrysanthemum—present. The Brilliant Golden Tulip—still here. Even the Fragrant Silk Beauty Flower, Snow Swan Kiss, Narcissus Jade Muscle Bone, and Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid—all still here.

And finally—Tang San's body trembled.

Not only are the herbs untouched… there are even more than before.

The well wasn't stripped—it had grown. The sheer abundance here could nurture not just one Shrek team, but three.

"Heaven itself aids me! Hahahahaha!"

Even Tang Hao was overwhelmed. Having once been a peak figure among humanity, he recognized what he was seeing. This was no ordinary place—it was a blessed land overspilling with divine energy.

"Magnificent," he muttered, trembling slightly. "Every inch of this place… mine. All mine. The Tang family's sacred garden."

He grinned wildly. "We'll stay here. I'll guard it until you ascend to godhood. And when Ah Yin returns, we'll raise children here—ten, twenty of them! Each will inherit an immortal herb, each a godhood. The Tang lineage will spread through the God Realm itself!"

But suddenly, a low rumble echoed across the valley—a deep, resonant dragon's roar.

The hot and cold vapors rising from the twin springs swirled together, forming two vast draconic phantoms above the valley.

"Who dares disturb our eternal rest?" The two dragon spirits' voices rumbled coldly, their eyes glaring down at Tang Hao and Tang San.

Recognition flashed instantly—these were the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings.

After ascending in his past life, Tang San had learned the truth of this place. It existed because of these twin dragon souls. He had monopolized it for the Tang family under the pretext of "divine inheritance," later claiming even their bones as Tang Sect property. For tens of thousands of years, the dragons had lain dormant, awaiting his son Tang Wulin's coming—though that future never came, cut short by Huo Yuhao's own interference.

Now, however, they'd awakened far too soon.

Could it be? Tang San thought, gritting his teeth. It wasn't Spirit Hall's reborn meddler who caused the changes—it was these dragons awakening themselves!

"Foolish creatures," he thought angrily. You were supposed to stay sealed until my heir arrived! And now you defy fate itself?

But then he straightened, his old arrogance flaring. So what if they're the twin Dragon Kings? I am the chosen of the Asura God—and my father, Tang Hao, wields the Shura Domain itself! No god, no beast, no dragon will bar the Tang family!

"This place," he thought coldly, eyes burning with divine will, "belongs to us."
