Rick woke up to sunlight coming through his tent, and his stomach instantly knotted up. "Urghhhh... it's already morning?"
Today was the day he would meet with Demon King Zork in person to talk about the alliance and, more importantly, the Spirit Bond with Zara.
He was aware that Zork had already granted his request, yet his innate survival instinct warned him that he was about to request permission from the world's most powerful demon to form a spiritual bond with his wife.
Rick muttered, "I'm so fucked," as he looked up at the tent ceiling.
"I'm going to fucking die in a horrible way."
"This is how I fucking die. Not because of corruption or war, but because I'm an idiot who thinks he can get along with the Demon King's wife."
"Every main character's last goal is to kill the Demon King, while here I am trying to cuck him by sharing his wife with me..." Rick sighed.
