Rick wanted to argue, but he knew they were right. Sylvia was much stronger than any of them.
If she was having trouble, having them around would probably make things worse because they could get in her way.
"Hahhh... Okay," Rick sighed. "But I want to know what's going on every few hours."
"I want to know right away if Liora thinks her situation is getting worse."
Both women nodded in agreement.
Carmilla said with a slight smile, "In the meantime, you have other things to do."
"General Zara has been inquiring about you. Something about wanting to talk about the terms of the alliance formally now that you're better."
Natasha's face was carefully blank. "We thought you might want to keep those talks private."
"Carmilla wants to keep training with the demon warriors, and I need to learn more about their magical skills."
Rick looked at both of them very closely. "Are you letting me spend time alone with Zara?"
Carmilla said simply, "We trust you."
