Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Super Saiyan??!

"Now it's Savoy's turn."

A Saiyan called out impatiently while Shallot carried Savoy in his arms. She kept nibbling on her fingers.

Placed on the examination table, the little girl looked around curiously, and soon her combat potential was displayed on the screen.

"Only 2 points?!"

"Tsk, is she Bardock's daughter? Another useless Saiyan has been born!"

Seeing the bold "2" on the screen, everyone in the examination room—except Shallot—showed expressions of contempt.

The lowest combat potential ever recorded in Saiyan history had been 4 points. Now Savoy had broken that record by two whole points.

"Waaah... waaah..."

Sensing the disgust and hostility around her, Savoy, who was lying on the table, pouted and began to cry loudly.

Ignoring the disgusted looks surrounding him, Shallot calmly picked Savoy up and comforted her.

This little creature was just like Son Goku in the original Dragon Ball series: only 2 points of combat potential, an embarrassingly low number for a Saiyan warrior.

Now he was becoming more and more convinced about the conclusions he had pieced together with the limited information he had gathered.

But what did it matter if she only had 2 points?

With enough intense training, anyone could become stronger. Savoy's future potential was not something any of these people were capable of judging.

"Next is Roka!"

When the tester called her name, Shallot gently put Savoy down and picked up the calm Roka, who had been quietly sitting aside.

This should really open their eyes, Shallot thought to himself.

Following the same procedure, Roka was placed on the examination table while the doctor began evaluating her combat potential.

At first, they were simply trying to finish the test quickly.

But what shocked everyone was the number rapidly climbing on the screen.

The final result nearly left them speechless.

"1... 10,000 points!!"

"Impossible! The device must be broken!"

"Test again! Run the test again!"

Believing the result was far too absurd to be real, no one accepted it.

The head Saiyan tester shouted angrily as the team quickly checked the equipment and subjected Roka to another test.

But the result was exactly the same.

10,000 points.

"There's nothing wrong with the equipment..."

"10,000 points... it really is 10,000..."

"Incredible! Not even the Princess has combat potential this high!"

Unable to deny reality any longer, the testers swallowed nervously, completely overwhelmed by shock.

"Someone report this to the King immediately! Another genius has appeared among the Saiyans!"

"No, I'll go myself!"

The head tester finally came back to his senses, his eyes shining with excitement.

As he rushed out of the room, his battle aura intensified and he shot into the sky like a rocket.

The news spread quickly.

Soon after, another figure wrapped in a battle aura burst into the room, smashing the doors open in his hurry to enter.

It was a muscular Saiyan who ignored everyone else in the room. After confirming Roka's combat potential, he lifted her excitedly, laughing loudly.

"It's really 10,000 points!"

"The legend is true: once every thousand years, a Super Saiyan appears in Saiyan history!"

"Just as expected from my daughter, Roka! Incredible! Hahaha!"

The man was Paragus, Roka's father, a powerful Saiyan warrior.

Saiyans were not a particularly sentimental race, and most Saiyan warriors did not care much about love or affection.

If it weren't for Roka's 10,000 points of combat potential, Paragus probably wouldn't have even come to see her.

Shallot, already used to this kind of scene, quietly carried Savoy back to the incubation capsule room.

Paragus was still celebrating, completely unaware of the danger looming over him and his daughter.

If Roka had been born into the royal family, she would undoubtedly have received immense attention and perfect training. Perhaps one day she might even have become the queen of the Saiyan race.

But unfortunately, she had not been born into the royal family.

Her father, Paragus, was only a low-rank warrior.

The King was cold and ruthless. He would never allow anyone to outshine his brilliant daughter or threaten his rule.

Sure enough, not long after, the King's orders arrived.

The news about Roka was to be strictly kept secret, and Paragus himself was summoned to the palace.

Not long afterward, Roka was brought back.

She was already fast asleep, completely indifferent.

Unlike the other restless babies, Roka rarely cried or complained.

Most of the time she either slept or sat quietly with a serious expression, as if she were constantly thinking about life.

Gently stroking Roka's head, Shallot sighed as he thought about the fate awaiting her.

But he had no time to worry about others.

He himself was in a precarious situation.

Now that Savoy and Roka had been born, he had confirmed that the two of them were likely the equivalents of Son Goku and Broly.

And now that Roka's immense combat potential had been revealed, if things continued following this pattern, that frost demon would surely come to the same conclusion.

Just like Frieza in the original story.

The destruction of Planet Salada might be approaching.

So far, all of Shallot's assumptions had proven correct, and he had no intention of ignoring his intuition.

Shallot had no intention of warning anyone about Arctic's possible plan.

He remembered Bardock's fate in the original story. No one had believed him.

And besides, he wouldn't even know how to explain it.

Moreover, considering his status on this planet, if he dared to speak badly about Arctic—who was seen as a hero using his power to bring peace to the universe—and if it were revealed that Arctic actually created conflicts himself in order to buy territories cheaply afterward, it would be the same as signing his own death sentence.

This planet might already be doomed.

And the Saiyans might be destined for extinction.

Shallot could not save them, nor did he intend to.

His only concern was escaping before the planet was destroyed—if things unfolded the way he expected.

After observing the situation carefully for almost five days, there was nothing more he could do.

He could only wait.

And hope everything would go smoothly when the right moment came.

After finishing his duties for the day, Shallot returned home.

Unlike when he had left that morning, some things inside the house had been moved, and he could hear the sound of running water.

Melia had returned.
