Chapter 114 - Chapter 114

The winds of Bogano carried something new that day.

From a concealed ridge overlooking a wide valley, Harry stood motionless, his figure blending into the natural stone as if he had always been a part of it. His eyes, however, were sharp—fixed on the distant Imperial camp below.

The valley had been disturbed.

Where there had once been untouched earth, now stood rows of temporary structures. White-armored clone troopers moved in precise formations, their discipline unmistakable. Scanning devices swept methodically across the terrain, beams of light cutting through the air as they gathered data—soil composition, atmospheric quality, energy readings.

"They're not just passing through," Harry said quietly, his voice steady but heavy with certainty.

Beside him, Luke crouched low, shifting slightly to get a better view without exposing himself to the open sky. His brow furrowed as he studied the scene.

"They're… studying it," he murmured.

Krigo, standing just behind them, frowned deeply.

"For what?"

Harry didn't answer immediately. His gaze never left the valley.

"To take it."

The words fell like stones.

Below, Imperial officers barked orders, directing teams with efficient precision. Some knelt, collecting samples of soil into sealed containers. Others held scanning instruments up to the wind, analyzing the air. A smaller unit had moved toward the edge of the valley, observing the native wildlife—tracking movement, noting behavior, documenting adaptability.

Friga stepped closer, her voice barely above a whisper.

"They're deciding if they can live here."

Harry gave a slight nod.

"If they report this planet as habitable…" he began, then paused, letting the weight of what followed settle on all of them.

"…this place is gone."

Because they all understood.

Ships would come first.

Then factories.

Colonies.

Millions of settlers pouring onto the planet, reshaping it, consuming it.

And behind it all—

The Empire.

Lokans swallowed hard, his throat tight.

"Then we stop them."

Harry didn't respond right away.

Because this wasn't a battle.

Not the kind they had trained for.

There were no clear enemies to defeat, no single target to strike.

Behind them, Yoda stood with his hands tucked into his robes, his gaze calm but deeply observant. He watched not only the Imperials below, but the children gathered around Harry.

"Act, we must," Yoda said softly.

"But careful… we must be."

Luke turned toward Harry, searching his face.

"What are you going to do?"

At last, Harry shifted. The movement was small, but it carried purpose.

"They're here for one reason," he said.

He looked directly at Luke.

"To decide if this place is worth taking."

Luke frowned, thinking it through.

"So… we make them think it's not?"

A faint curve touched Harry's lips.

"Exactly."

Krigo blinked.

"How?"

Harry didn't answer.

Instead, he raised his hand.

And the air changed.

The Force stirred—

No.

This was something else.

Something layered.

It spread outward, invisible yet undeniable.

Across the valley, movement began.

At first, it was subtle. A tremor beneath the ground. A ripple in the patterns of life.

Then—

The bograts emerged.

Small burrowing creatures that usually kept to themselves. Harmless. Dog-sized at most.

Now—

They grew.

Rapidly.

Their bodies stretched, expanded, their forms warping as if reality itself bent to accommodate their new size.

Until each one stood as large as an elephant.

Friga's eyes widened in disbelief.

"…That's new."

Luke stared, stunned.

"They're huge…"

Hundreds of them burst from the ground, their massive forms tearing through the soil like a living upheaval.

And then—

They charged.

The clone troopers reacted instantly.

"Contact!"

Blaster fire erupted, red bolts slicing through the air and slamming into the advancing creatures.

But the bograts didn't stop.

They surged forward like a living avalanche, their sheer mass overwhelming the defensive lines. Troopers were thrown aside, their formations shattered as the creatures crashed through the camp.

From the ridge, the children watched in stunned awe.

Krigo leaned slightly toward Harry, his voice low.

"Remind me never to annoy you."

Harry didn't look at him.

"Lesson one," he said quietly, "you don't always fight directly."

Below, chaos reigned.

The troopers regrouped.

They adapted quickly, focusing their fire, coordinating movements, pushing the creatures back step by step.

One by one, the bograts began to retreat—not defeated, but driven away.

The Imperial lines reformed.

Shaken.

But not broken.

Luke exhaled slowly, tension easing from his shoulders.

"They're still here."

Harry nodded.

"Of course they are."

His hand rose again.

"This was just the first message."

The air shifted once more.

A sound began to fill the valley.

High-pitched.

Unsettling.

Friga flinched immediately.

"Oh no…"

Krigo groaned.

"I hate those things."

From the distant marshlands, they came.

Mosquito-like creatures native to Bogano.

Normally the size of a rat.

Annoying.

But harmless in small numbers.

Now—

They grew.

Swelling in size, their bodies distorting as they expanded.

Multiplying.

Until thousands filled the sky.

Each one now as large as a hunting hound.

Their wings beat in unison, creating a thunderous roar that echoed across the valley like an approaching storm.

Luke stared, his voice barely above a whisper.

"…That's worse."

Harry lowered his hand.

"Now we escalate."

The swarm descended.

The troopers barely had time to react.

"Form up!"

"Defensive positions!"

Blaster fire erupted again, streaking upward into the sky—

But it didn't matter.

The swarm was too dense.

Too fast.

They struck.

Clinging to armor.

Piercing through weak points.

Draining.

Troopers fell.

At first, one by one.

Then in groups.

Panic spread like wildfire.

"Get them off!"

"They're everywhere!"

The buzzing drowned out everything—even the roar of engines as the patrol ship powered up in desperation.

From the ridge, the children watched in stunned silence.

Lokans spoke, almost disbelieving.

"They're running…"

And they were.

The troopers broke formation, retreating toward their ship in desperation. Discipline gave way to survival.

The swarm pursued them relentlessly.

Until finally—

The ship's engines roared to life.

The ramp sealed shut.

The vessel lifted, shaking violently as it fought against the storm of wings surrounding it.

And then—

It was gone.

Silence returned slowly.

The swarm dispersed.

The massive creatures shrank.

Reality settled back into place.

Luke let out a long breath.

"…That was insane."

Krigo nodded, still staring at where the chaos had unfolded.

"Effective though."

Harry didn't respond.

Instead, he closed his eyes.

For a brief moment, he stood completely still.

Then—

He reached out.

Something that threaded itself into the systems of the departing ship.

Moments passed.

Then his eyes opened.

Friga stepped closer, curiosity overtaking her awe.

"What did you do?"

Harry's voice was calm.

"I made sure they report what they saw."

Luke tilted his head.

"…Which is?"

Harry looked toward the sky, where the ship had vanished into the horizon.

"That this planet is not worth taking."

Later—

Inside the base, the mirror flickered to life.

A distorted image formed, stabilizing into Sebul's face.

"You're not going to believe this," he said, barely containing his excitement.

Quinlan leaned into view beside him.

"Oh, I think they will."

Sebul grinned.

"Imperial report just came through."

Obi-Wan's voice followed, calm but unmistakably pleased.

"They've marked Bogano as…"

He paused for effect.

"…unsuitable for colonization."

Cheers erupted through the chamber.

The children laughed, relief breaking through the tension that had held them for hours.

Krigo pumped his fist into the air.

"We did it!"

Friga grinned brightly.

Luke didn't join the celebration immediately.

Instead, he looked at Harry.

There was something new in his expression now.

Understanding.

Respect.

Harry met his gaze briefly and gave a small nod.

And as the last traces of Harry's influence faded into the land, the creatures returned to their natural lives.

Unaware…

That they had just defended their world.

The enchanted mirror in Bogano shimmered violently.

Harry turned immediately.

Around him, the others gathered without needing to be called. Luke moved first, instinctively taking position beside him. Friga and Krigo followed close behind, while Lokans lingered near the edge, eyes fixed on the unstable surface. Yoda remained at the back, calm as ever, though his gaze was sharp with quiet concern.

The mirror flickered—

Then stabilized.

A new face appeared.

Sharp features.

Tired eyes.

And a tension in his posture that spoke of a man standing on the edge of something dangerous.

Berch Teller.

Behind him, chaos unfolded.

Flashing lights cut through the dim background. Figures rushed back and forth—crew members preparing something, shouting orders that were too distant to hear clearly. Through the open space behind him, glimpses of ships could be seen—large, armored vessels preparing for deployment.

Berch didn't waste time.

"I don't have much time."

Harry stepped forward, his expression unreadable.

"Then don't waste it."

Berch gave a short nod, appreciating the directness.

"Imperial convoy."

With a flick of his hand, a projection materialized beside him—multiple ships moving in tight formation, their signatures unmistakably Imperial. Heavy cruisers flanked transport vessels, forming a protective shell around something at the center.

"Heavily guarded," Berch continued.

"Transporting classified mechanical components."

From another mirror positioned nearby, Quinlan's voice broke in, laced with curiosity.

"Define classified."

Berch's jaw tightened.

"Bad enough that if it reaches its destination…"

He paused, as if weighing his words carefully.

"…we all lose."

The room fell still.

Even the children felt it—the shift in tone, the weight behind those words.

"There are rumors," Berch added.

Obi-Wan leaned slightly closer to his own mirror, his calm presence grounding the moment.

"What kind of rumors?"

Berch hesitated.

"Parts for something bigger."

He exhaled slowly, as if the words themselves carried weight.

"Something like a…"

Another pause.

"…a superweapon."

The word lingered in the air like a shadow.

Superweapon.

Even those who didn't fully understand the scale of such a thing felt its danger.

A projection shifted again, highlighting the region—arid world, sparse population, but strategically useful due to its relative isolation.

"We intercept before it jumps again," Birch finished.

From the other mirror, Sebul's voice crackled with excitement.

"Oh, now this is a mission."

Quinlan chuckled.

"Finally, something fun."

Obi-Wan didn't share their enthusiasm.

"This won't be simple."

Berch nodded.

"It never is."

Then he looked directly at Harry.

"We need everyone we can get."

There was no hesitation.

"You have it."

Minutes later—

The air outside the base was still.

Harry stood ready.

His cloak rested naturally over his shoulders, its fabric shifting slightly with the breeze. His eyes were sharp, focused—not on the present, but already calculating the future.

Dobby stood in front of him, arms crossed in stubborn defiance.

"Dobby is coming too."

Harry shook his head.

"Not now."

Dobby's ears drooped slightly, though his stance didn't falter.

"But—"

"You stay."

Harry's tone was calm, but there was no room for argument.

"You guard Bogano."

Dobby blinked, caught off guard.

"But Master Harry—"

"You are needed here."

That stopped him.

Harry stepped closer, lowering his voice just enough to make the moment personal.

"If anything happens…"

"You protect them."

Dobby's gaze shifted.

Toward the children.

His shoulders straightened.

"…Dobby understands."

Harry gave a single nod.

Behind them, the children gathered.

Luke stepped forward first, unable to hide the concern in his voice.

"You're leaving?"

Harry allowed a faint smirk to form.

"Just for a while."

Friga crossed her arms, though her eyes betrayed her worry.

"You better win."

Krigo immediately added,

"And bring back something cool."

Lokans nodded seriously.

"Or at least a good story."

Harry chuckled softly.

"You'll get both."

Luke didn't smile.

He simply looked at Harry.

"…Be careful."

Harry met his gaze.

There was something unspoken between them now—understanding, trust, something deeper than words.

"You too."

The ship arrived shortly after.

It descended through Bogano's sky without sound, its design built for stealth rather than intimidation. The moment it touched down, the ramp lowered with a quiet hiss.

Sebul leaned out, a grin already on his face.

"Ready?"

Harry didn't hesitate.

"Always."

He walked forward, his pace steady, unhurried.

Inside, Quinlan was already lounging against the interior wall, as if this were just another routine outing.

"Let's go steal something," he said casually.

Obi-Wan, standing nearby, gave him a measured look.

"We're not stealing."

Quinlan smirked.

"We're liberating."

Harry stepped aboard without comment.

The ramp sealed behind him.

Engines roared to life—

And the ship lifted smoothly into the sky.

Within seconds, it vanished.

The journey to Tatooine was fast.

But not relaxed.

Inside the cockpit, Sebul navigated with practiced ease, his hands moving confidently across the controls.

"Convoy's near one of the moons," he said.

"Good place for an ambush."

Quinlan stretched slightly, as if preparing for entertainment rather than conflict.

"How many ships?"

Sebul glanced at the readings.

"Enough to make it interesting."

Obi-Wan crossed his arms, his expression thoughtful.

"They'll expect resistance."

Harry stepped forward, his presence subtly shifting the atmosphere in the cockpit.

"Then we don't give them what they expect."

Sebul's grin widened.

"I like where this is going."

Outside the viewport—

The desert world of Tatooine came into view.

A harsh, sun-scorched planet, its surface a sea of endless dunes and jagged rock formations. Even from orbit, its unforgiving nature was clear.

And circling it—

Its moons.

One of them—

Would soon become a battlefield.
