Nulla Rex Announcement
Don't treat this like my other author notes. I'm going to be honest.
This story feels shallow.
34 chapters in and being stuck is normal… I guess. At least not for me, since I went off and wrote around 70 chapters combined for other stuff that's going into my actual owned work.
Moment of honesty.
I don't have much desire to continue this one. It was released for a contest since I already had 5 chapters written. I explored this universe strictly for its loose lore and hard caps on power. But the value of using this fanfiction has sadly run out.
It did what I needed it to do—fleshing out the Ras I wanted, along with the main character roles I'll be aiming for in the future.
My ongoing debate is whether I reboot the entire fanfiction idea across different worlds/anime, since I already have a couple draft chapters I haven't bothered editing… or split them off into concentrated worlds (i.e. One Piece for One Piece, Bleach for Bleach, etc.).
The last nuclear option is focusing on finishing the foundation story for my own universe, which has already stolen about 50 chapters worth of work from everything else. That's unlikely for now, but it stays in my head because of how easy it's been to write.
Now for the last issue I see as the main one.
My fanfictions will randomly go silent.
I thought you guys would go away—that was dumb. I still check stories that haven't updated in 3+ years. If my original works are being updated, then I'm still alive—either writing or building other projects to bring in money.
This is turning into hobby work, and I'm still heavily against paywall systems for stories unless it's a one-time flat fee. But that's just the world today.
I'll still be releasing the reboot of this universe into my One Piece story—where it fits better. Check it out if you want. It's not lost… even if that one might get axed too.
P.S. If you're offended by anything, pray to the Gods. They might hear you—because I'm doubling down on my style.
