Sleep has become a distant memory since Luna Dorothy vanished and Alpha Joseph disappeared into the wilderness to hunt for her. Two measly hours of rest in the past few days - that's all I've managed. Exhaustion weighs on my shoulders like lead, but the pack's restless energy cuts through my fatigue like a blade.
I can sense their collective anxiety rippling through our bond. The uncertainty about their Alpha and Luna's fate hangs over everyone like a storm cloud. That same dread claws at my chest, but I'm holding down the fort now. I have to bury those feelings deep.
What strikes me most is how different things feel compared to the old days. Before Luna Dorothy arrived, any prolonged absence from our Alpha would have triggered challenges to my temporary authority. Pack members would have tested my strength, pushed boundaries, seen weakness as opportunity.
