Adaline's POV
I was still working frantically on the injured warrior, applying pressure to stop the relentless bleeding, when a sudden surge of energy rippled through the hospital. Every warrior who could still move bolted from the waiting area toward the rear entrance.
Gideon yanked me behind his protective frame as we strained to see down the corridor, both of us desperate to understand what chaos had erupted.
"Are you part of the pack yet?" His voice was tight with concern, hoping I could tap into the mind link for answers.
"No, I'm not."
He gave a sharp nod. Without warning, shouting echoed through the halls and several warriors burst through the doors, carrying Dorian between them. I shoved past Gideon and sprinted toward them.
"Silver bullet?" I demanded, taking in Dorian's chest wound and the alarming amount of blood pooling beneath him.
