Chapter 39 - Chapter 38 - This is the Power of the Sharingan

Raizen nodded. As soon as he finished speaking,

Kakashi drew his sword and charged forward.

The blade sliced through the air, creating a sharp whistling sound.

Raizen's gaze sharpened, and he quickly raised his hand to parry.

Although the attack was fast, the training and skill points he had gained recently had significantly improved his physical abilities, allowing him to somewhat withstand it.

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of clashing swords echoed in the courtyard. Occasionally, a glimmer of light would flash between the impacts, only to be extinguished in an instant.

Raizen frowned. Kakashi's swordsmanship was indeed impressive.

Compared to his own rudimentary swordsmanship, Kakashi pressed forward relentlessly, his movements precise and swift, leaving no room for error.

"Even without any major skill point exploits, being able to fill in the gaps is good,"

  Raizen thought to himself.

His stamina was better than Kakashi's. Even though his movements required more time and effort, the Yoruzuki clan's talent and affixes allowed him to hold his own for a while with his endurance.

This would give him a chance to identify his weaknesses.

  ...

  Inside the house.

"That guy didn't even greet me..."

  Shizune secretly watched Raizen leave.

Last time, out of curiosity, she stared at Raizen, only to be caught by him.

That experience left a deep impression on Shizune.

"He's becoming more and more like him,"

  Shizune muttered to herself.

In just this short time, Shizune could feel that Raizen had grown taller.

He carried a small katana on his back, perfectly concealing the Uchiha clan's flame fan crest.

He was getting closer and closer to the black-skinned Cloud Village ninja she had imagined.

The only difference was that Raizen's skin wasn't as dark, and his lips weren't as thick.

  "What are you distracted about?"

Tsunade's words brought Shizune back to her senses.

  "Sorry, Lady Tsunade."

"You can go out too. The rest is up to us."

  Tsunade's expression gradually became serious.

  She looked at Shizune.

The less they knew about this, the safer they were. If a ninja knew too much unnecessary information, it would be harmful to them.

  "Yes... Lady Tsunade."

Shizune hurriedly packed the sealing scrolls into her bag, then bowed and left.

  "Heh heh, so young."

Orochimaru opened his mouth, his lips opening and closing at an exaggerated angle, spitting out a scroll covered in sticky mucus from his throat.

"Orochimaru, don't be so disgusting, like a snake!"

  Tsunade's tone was disgusted.

"Alright, Sakumo, let's get down to business."

  ...

Outside the courtyard, Shizune hurried out.

She was planning to wander around the neighborhood when a crisp clash of blades suddenly caught her attention.

"What are Raizen and Kakashi doing?"

She looked up and saw Raizen and Kakashi's figures not far away through the wooden fence of the courtyard.

"Kakashi's father is the legendary White Fang, the White Fang unique to Konoha.

Raizen is actually sparring with Kakashi?"

  Shizune was surprised.

She and Raizen were in the same class.

However, Shizune was usually very low-key.

Since her uncle Kato Dan died, Tsunade had kept her by her side.

She remembered that Raizen had never sparred with Kakashi, the only time being when he beat Obito, the loser.

Shizune became interested and walked towards the two.

  Several minutes later.

Raizen's forehead was covered with a layer of sweat.

  His stamina was good.

If it were a wooden sword, he wouldn't feel too tired.

But the tachi in his hand was a real sword made of iron, and it was not light.

"Kakashi, your swordsmanship is good, then I will get serious."

Raizen closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his left eye was already a scarlet, as red as if it were dripping blood.

A tomoe slowly circled and rotated.

Kakashi's movements instantly slowed considerably in Raizen's eyes.

Like a nimble bird leaping into a viscous solution, each flap of its wings created resistance, slowing its progress.

The moment his Sharingan opened, Kakashi paused, thinking,

  "Sharingan."

Several other Uchiha were in different classes, but only Raizen had awakened it.

Only a minority of the Uchiha clan could awaken the Sharingan.

This was Kakashi's first time facing an Uchiha with the Sharingan.

He gripped his sword hilt tightly, trying to win through speed.

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

  The swords clashed repeatedly.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow, his gaze gradually becoming serious.

After several rounds of exchange, Raizen gradually shifted from passive defense to active offense.

The following exchanges were completely different.

Every strike Kakashi made seemed to be precisely predicted by Raizen, and his previously effortless rhythm was gradually disrupted.

  "Bang!"

Seizing the brief opening in Kakashi's defenses, Raizen counterattacked, his blade grazing Kakashi's short sword with a crisp metallic hum.

Kakashi took a step back, his grip on the sword tightening slightly, his expression no longer relaxed

"I see, the Sharingan not only allows you to see through an enemy's movements, but it can even elevate your own reactions to another level..."

"Indeed, this is the power of the Sharingan."

  Raizen nodded.

Once the Sharingan is activated, one's perception will be amplified.
