Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Xue Na!

The hammer was pitch black, its head covered in fine patterns, only palm-sized, floating faintly beside the wrist, appearing and disappearing.

Su Yu had fought against people from the Clear Sky Sect before and recognized it at a glance—this was the Haotian Hammer!

So it really was Tang San. Su Yu quietly suppressed the hammer's aura with his Soul Power:

"Alright, Tang San, your Martial Soul is Blue Silver Grass. Let's test your Soul Power now."

Tang San placed his hand on the blue crystal ball, but it showed no reaction.

"Ah, another one with no Soul Power…" Old Jack sighed, his tone full of regret.

But the moment his words fell, the crystal ball suddenly burst forth with a dazzling blue light.

The brilliance was so intense, it was exactly like the girl's radiance from before, so bright it was hard to look away.

"Sir! This child also has Innate Full Soul Power!"

The recording attendant exclaimed in shock, his face filled with astonishment.

"It's just that this Martial Soul… is rather ordinary."

Su Yu watched the flickering blue light on the crystal ball, a hint of deep meaning flashing in his eyes.

He quietly withdrew the hand suppressing the Soul Power and said calmly:

"Record it in the register. Innate Full Soul Power is worth focused cultivation."

Old Jack was stunned for a long moment before he finally snapped out of it, wiping away tears in excitement:

"Good lad! What a good lad! Our Holy Soul Village produced two Innate Full Soul Power talents in a single day!"

Su Yu looked at Tang San, his gaze gentle yet carrying undeniable seriousness:

"Little friend, are you willing to join our Spirit Hall?"

He paused, emphasizing his words, "As long as you agree, I'll take you to the Martial Soul Holy City and enroll you in the Martial Soul Academy for advanced training!"

"There are the best teachers and cultivation resources there, and you can become very strong."

Old Jack grew anxious, rubbing his hands together. Seeing Tang San bow his head without speaking, he couldn't help but lean in and whisper urgently:

"Xiao San, this is a tremendous opportunity!"

"What kind of place is the Martial Soul Holy City? Countless Soul Masters would fight tooth and nail to get in! Hurry and agree!"

Tang San's fingers tightly gripped the hem of his clothes, his knuckles turning white.

He lifted his head, his dark, bright eyes reflecting Su Yu's figure, and said softly but firmly:

"Soul Master, thank you for your kindness."

He paused, his gaze turning toward the door as if he could see through the wall to that drunken figure:

"My father… needs someone to take care of him. I can't leave."

"You foolish child!" Old Jack fumed, his beard bristling, wishing he could nod on Tang San's behalf.

"Your father has hands and feet—does he need you watching over him every day? If you go to the Holy City with the sir and become a powerful Soul Master in the future, you'll truly be able to protect him. Do you understand?"

But Tang San only shook his head, his young face filled with a stubbornness beyond his years:

"I want to stay with him now."

Su Yu looked at the determination in his eyes and suddenly smiled, patting Tang San's shoulder:

"I understand. I respect your choice."

He turned to Old Jack, his tone calm: "Village Chief, the awakening ceremony ends here for today."

Old Jack looked at Tang San, then at Su Yu, and finally let out a heavy sigh, saying nothing more.

Su Yu took the girl and the attendant back to the Spirit Sub-Hall in Nuoding City.

Returning to the Spirit Sub-Hall in Nuoding City, the interior was much brighter than the earthen hut of Holy Soul Village. The Spirit Hall emblem on the wall shimmered faintly under the candlelight.

The attendant quickly approached Su Yu, his face still etched with regret:

"Your Highness, that Tang San possesses Innate Full Soul Power. Although his Martial Soul is Blue Silver Grass, such talent is truly rare. Should I go and persuade him again?"

Su Yu was gazing at the sky outside the hall and shook his head lightly upon hearing this:

"No need. Forced fruits are never sweet. Since his heart belongs elsewhere, pressing the matter would only spoil things."

As he spoke, he turned and his gaze fell upon the timid girl standing nearby.

The girl was still clutching the token in her hand. When she noticed Su Yu looking at her, she instinctively shrank back.

"Little sister, what's your name?" Su Yu's tone softened.

The girl looked up, her clear eyes meeting his, and replied softly:

"Your Highness, my name is Xue Na. Grandpa Jack said when he found me, there was a handkerchief on me with this name embroidered on it."

Su Yu was slightly taken aback. "Your Highness? Why do you call me that?"

Xue Na pointed at the nearby attendant and whispered, "That gentleman kept addressing you that way earlier. If you don't like it, I can call you something else."

Su Yu waved his hand, looked at Xue Na, and smiled. "No need to call me Your Highness. We might become fellow disciples in the future. Just call me Su Yu."

Xue Na blinked, her small face full of confusion. "Fellow disciples?"

She tilted her head, clearly not understanding the meaning of the term.

Seeing her bewildered expression, Su Yu's smile deepened:

"It means we would learn together under the same teacher."

He paused, his tone turning serious. "You have excellent talent. With Innate Full Soul Power and a Lightning Soul, your potential is tremendous."

"My teacher is the Pope of Spirit Hall. With her discerning eye, she would certainly appreciate a promising seedling like you and might even take you as her disciple."

"The... the Pope?"

Xue Na's eyes widened. She had heard the village elders say that the Pope was the most powerful person in Spirit Hall.

The thought that she might become the Pope's disciple made her little face instantly flush bright red. She felt both nervous and excited, her palms growing damp with sweat.

"Then... then can I really?" Her voice trembled with disbelief and hope.

"Of course." Su Yu nodded firmly.

"Your talent is outstanding. As long as you're willing to work hard, not only could you become the Pope's disciple, but you might even become a Titled Douluo who stands on your own in the future."

Xue Na took a deep breath, as if gathering courage, and a determined expression gradually appeared on her small face:

"I will work hard! Su Yu... brother!"

She tried calling him that, her voice soft yet crystal clear.

"Mm." Su Yu nodded with satisfaction.

"For the next few days, rest well here at the sub-hall. I'll teach you how to cultivate. When we return to Holy City, I'll take you to meet my teacher."

"Okay! Thank you, Su Yu brother!"

"Go take a bath now. I'll have a maid bring you a new set of clothes later!"

Xue Na nodded vigorously, her small face brimming with excitement, her voice clear as wind chimes:

"Okay! Thank you, Su Yu brother!"

With that, she hugged her small bundle and followed the maid with light steps toward the rear hall.

After a couple of steps, she couldn't resist glancing back at Su Yu, her eyes sparkling with bright light.

Su Yu watched her retreating figure, a gentle smile flickering in the depths of his eyes.

The attendant beside him observed this and whispered, "Holy Son, although this child comes from the countryside, she has a pure heart and exceptional talent. She truly is promising material."

Su Yu withdrew his gaze and gave a slight nod.

"Mm."

Xue Na was bathing in the bathroom, feeling that everything here was so fascinating—so many things she had never seen before.
