"I don't know," I replied. "It's common knowledge in society that omegas had to be calm, soft-spoken, never question authority. I could list a ton of things we were told growing up by friends and family. By our parents especially."
"From friends and family?" she asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"You said your parents especially too," she said.
"Yes," I replied. My dad had made sure I knew how to be an omega growing up. I wasn't that expressive growing up, but he thought me everything I needed to know as an omega. Every lesson, every rule, every expectation.
"Which of your parents told you this the most?" she asked.
"My dad," I said. The word felt heavy.
"What would he tell you?" she asked.
