"Are you trying to kill me?" Jamie breathed out heavily. He leaned against the wall, his chest heaving.
"What's going on?" I asked, completely lost. How was I trying to get him killed? Why did they all run out like that. What was going on?
"How could you do that after all that had happened yesterday night?" Soren said, his voice sharp with lingering panic.
"What?" I asked, confused. My mind was blank. What had happened yesterday night? I had gone to sleep. That was all I remembered. Did something else happen? What happened?
"I just lost nine years from my life," Jamie said, shaking his head.
Phoenix just stood there breathing heavily. I think he said a silent prayer to the goddess. Thanking her or something. His lips were moving, but no sound was coming out.
"What? What's going on?" I asked confused. Why were they looking at me so strangely? Like I had done something terrible and they were waiting for me to remember.
