Holland needed to rest. Phoenix sometimes felt that Holland was going through a lot and just never spoke about it. He didn't understand why because he was the kind of person who would cry and beg if he had to when he was in a situation he couldn't solve. If something was wrong, Phoenix let it out. He screamed, he cried, he called his friends at three in the morning. He threw things. He broke things. He made sure everyone knew he was hurting.
But Holland was different. He kept a lot of things to himself. This is why he was so surprised when Holland said he got into a fight with Roma and Kastiel. It didn't sound like the Holland he knew. The Holland he knew was quiet. The Holland he knew apologized for everything, even things that weren't his fault. The Holland he knew made himself small, made himself invisible.
