Fabian hardly knew why the Archduke was so annoyed but whatever had happened, he didn't want to be on the receiving end of all his fury.
He was going to deliver news which would probably worsen his mood but he was still just a messenger, not the main culprit!
Azrael's attention shifted to the shattered mirror without a turn of his head, his eyes then returned to Fabian. He studied his aide as if wondering whether it would be advantageous to let him live after delivering unwelcome news.
"...I promise," he managed hoarsely.
That didn't sound too reassuring but Fabian let out a small sigh that sounded more worried than relieved and took an extra step back for good measure. "What piece of news would you prefer to hear first, Milord?"
