Scene 1 – Gate Entry
Gate entry, red gate summoned, realm of ice elves, objective level up. Jinyoung entered in a frozen realm — endless ice storm, blizzard, ice elves watching from every corner. His aura was black/purple, strong but not overwhelming. His death energy clashed with the ice/frost mana, melting the ice storms.
Scene 2 – Ice Elf Warriors and Ice Beast
The ice elf warriors and their pet, the ice bear, attacked with spears made of frozen ice mana. Their precision with arrow and spear forced Jinyoung to rely on Mana Flow Strike and Mana Palm Strike. His black/purple aura left violet scars in the ice, unsettling the ice elves. He realized frost mana can freeze his death energy, but depends on how strong the user is, creating a clash of elements.
Scene 3 – Ice Beast Encounter
A colossal ice beast (A-RANK GUARDIAN) emerged, a bear-like creature with crystalline armour. Its breath froze the air, slowing Jinyoung's movement. He used the Paralysis Dagger to weaken it, then channeled death energy into Mana Sever, cracking its armour. The fight nearly drained his mana, but he adapted by fusing Mana Armour with death energy.
Scene 4 – Survival Growth
After defeating the ice beast, the system announced progression: 99%. Black/purple aura stage stabilized, death energy now resists frost mana. Jinyoung felt his aura deepen — fear, death, darkness now stood against elemental forces. He realized this could help him with a battle against any ice user. Ting, last quest: defeat Baruka, leader of ice elves.
Scene 5 – Baruka Enters
Baruka entered, his aura heavier, frostier than the ice bear. His gaze was cold, piercing through Jinyoung's calm face, sending a shiver. This boss was low S-rank.
Scene 6 – Baruka Attack
Baruka attacked, his strikes precise, not heavy, swift like snow. Ice shurikens, countless shurikens made of ice, rushed at Jinyoung fast, cutting through sound — boom. Jinyoung blocked it with a technique, Death Fist, made by infusing his hand with death energy, creating a temporary gauntlet. Baruka noticed, but didn't react. Ice Spikes — boom — thousands of spears pierced through earth, destroying nearby mountains. Swoosh, Death Barrage Combo — Jinyoung attacked fast, the combo was unrelenting, forcing Baruka to puke blood. For the first time, Baruka showed emotion — anger. Ice Mountain Devastation, a final technique made by pouring all mana outward like an explosion, devastating the surrounding in a five kilometre radius. Death Drain — grah — Baruka shouted, his body lifted in mid-air, his life force drained — boom. His skeleton exploded, his soul was claimed and absorbed, turned into an undead soldier like Liam and the others. Ting, quest completed, level up 69.
Scene 7 – Back in Seoul
Back in Seoul, in an apartment, Somi noticed his aura cold, almost emotionless. It terrified her. She asked, "Big bro, are you becoming like the monsters?" Jinyoung answered quietly, "No, I'm simply evolving." His words were soft. Somi saw the burden in him. He didn't manage to go further in education — he sacrificed himself. As soon as he finished his GCSEs, he immediately became a hunter, sacrificing his college, sixth form, university application, for her to live a better life.
