[Divine Descent Target: Kiritsugu Emiya has successfully hunted Artoria. Congratulations! You have obtained 600 Free Attribute Points and a Random Ability Card (Artoria)!]
Name: Gordius Wheel (Wheel of Heaven's Authority) Rank: Epic Description: One of Iskandar's Noble Phantasms, originally a sacrificial altar for Zeus. It crushes enemies with the hooves of divine bulls and chariot wheels, capable of flight with lightning effects.
Name: Divine Bulls Rank: LV.3 Description: The sacred beasts pulling the Gordius Wheel, closely related to Zeus. They can levitate and command thunder.
Name: Random Ability Card (Artoria) Rank: N/A Description: Randomly draws one skill from Artoria Pendragon (excluding Noble Phantasms).
Seeing the rewards pop up one after another, Roy couldn't help but marvel. Kiritsugu was an incredible "tool." In the final hour, he had actually taken down both Artoria and Iskandar. He was far more useful than Subaru Natsuki.
With a thought, Roy activated the Ability Card. A phantom of Artoria appeared before him, and several orbs of light separated from her—Magic Resistance, Riding, Instinct, Mana Burst, Charisma...
Finally, one orb emerged victorious.
[Extraction complete. Congratulations! You have obtained 'Instinct' as a skill.]
Name: Instinct Description: The ability to instantly identify the "best course of action" during combat. Allows for brief "future prediction," predicting projectile trajectories through air currents and intuition to evade firearms.
Roy's eyes lit up. His "lucky streak" was still holding; he had hit the jackpot. Among Artoria's innate abilities, Instinct was undoubtedly top-tier. It had allowed her to dodge Cu Chulainn's "undodgeable" spear.
Between Diarmuid's spears, Iskandar's chariot, Artoria's Instinct, and 1,400 attribute points, Roy was more than satisfied with the haul he earned while lying in bed. His "tool," however, wasn't so lucky.
Roy activated Divine Descent once more.
The night was deep. With all Servants defeated, the war was over. Fuyuki City was silent, but it wasn't a peaceful silence—it was the calm before a storm. Kiritsugu believed his plan had worked. He had given the souls to the "Demon God," so the tainted Grail shouldn't trigger a catastrophe.
He was wrong.
At the apex of the sky, a streak of blood-red light appeared, expanding into a ring. Its center was a terrifying, abyssal "Black Sun." Under Kiritsugu's bewildered gaze, endless black mud poured down, melting everything it touched.
"Why?!" Kiritsugu's muscles contorted in despair as he roared at the waterfall of mud.
Only Roy knew the answer. There was no "handing over" souls to a Demon God; Roy had simply made that up. Kiritsugu had reached a false conclusion based on false intel. The only way to stop it was to dismantle the Great Grail circle, a location Roy never disclosed. The souls still went to the Lesser Grail, which pierced the world, creating the "Hole."
The situation was worse than the original timeline. Artoria was gone; there was no Excalibur to blast the Grail away. The mud swept across the city like a tsunami, igniting fires and swallowing Kiritsugu. Within the mud, Kiritsugu fell into a hyper-realistic illusion of the Einzbern castle.
Bang! Bang!
Two shots. Roy watched as Kiritsugu, through tears, killed the illusions of Irisviel and Illya. To save the world, this man would kill his family even if they were real.
Awakening from the dream to a city in flames, Kiritsugu called out to the "Demon God," but received no answer. In that moment, he realized he had been played.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" he screamed into the void, his voice cracking with rage and self-loathing.
After three minutes of screaming, he collapsed in agony. Another survivor bathed in mud appeared: Kirei Kotomine. Unlike Kiritsugu, Kirei looked at the disaster with pure ecstasy. "Hahaha! Kiritsugu, is this what you wanted? How pathetic!"
Gilgamesh hadn't had time to make Kirei kill his master, but he had successfully pushed Kirei to embrace his true nature: the pursuit of "pleasure" through the suffering of others.
But then, across the distant horizon, a magnificent river of stars appeared.
