He rounded the cliff and saw a creature with a human upper body and a fish tail: a Mermaid. She sat on a rock, her face a mask of sorrow, weeping as she sang. Roy's spear shifted into a giant axe as he swung down.

The "sorrowful" face vanished, replaced by a hideous snarl. The Mermaid caught the axe blade in her serrated teeth. Her jaw strength was incredible; sparks flew as she grinned at Roy. Roy realized his physical pull wouldn't work, so he let go of the axe, letting it dissolve into a massive surge of electricity.
The Mermaid shrieked in pain and dove into the water, her tail propelling her away with incredible speed. Roy tossed a lightning orb into the water—electric fishing!
Water exploded, but the Mermaid was gone. Roy's face darkened. Did she really get away?
In a corner, another Mermaid poked her head out from behind a rock, watching him timidly. Roy, now used to killing everything in sight, summoned more lightning.
The beautiful Mermaid burst into tears, waving her hands frantically. "Wait! I am not your enemy...!"
