For this level-up, Roy didn't ask Goddess Astraea for help. The Elven Kingship skill was too dangerous; elves would never tolerate a "Sovereign" appearing over them. Even with Astraea's principles, he didn't dare take the risk.
"Miss Ryuu, thank you for your hard work!"
Roy looked at the true MVP of the mission. Ryuu had killed twice as many demons as he had, and her mastery over Luminous Wind was far superior. Roy felt like he had been carried to a win.
Seeing Roy's uncontrollable grin, Ryuu knew he had gained much. "This was our contract," she said simply. Though they were now inseparable, she clung to the formality of their agreement—it was the goal of resurrecting her friends that kept her going.
Back at the Starry Court, Roy kept his Level 3 status a secret. If the Guild knew, they would demand they go deeper. For their first expedition, the 24th Floor was enough.

Daphne and Cassandra had also reached their stat limits, but they lacked the "Great Feat" required to level up. Moreover, they lacked the combat experience and mindset to handle higher-level threats. Roy realized they could only reach Level 2 if they followed him and Ryuu to fight high-level monsters to "leech" high-quality experience.
Before the expedition, Roy spent his time sparring with Ryuu. They blurred through the courtyard, the sound of clashing blades constant. Roy mastered his Level 3 strength with incredible speed, also practicing chanting while moving.
"Level 3..." Ryuu felt the power coming from Roy's strikes. She was stunned. It had only been forty days since he hit Level 2. He was shattering every record in history.
Watching Roy fight Ryuu, Daphne and Cassandra were speechless. Ryuu was a Spartan instructor who had reached Level 4 during the "Great Feud" and had years of combat experience. The fact that Roy could even hold his own against her was terrifying.
"That's enough for today!" Ryuu called out, pulling back.
Roy wiped his brow. "Phew." He was amazed by Ryuu; even with his stats, he could only barely keep up. Rank gaps were no joke.
The team spent their final days purchasing supplies. Having taken the Apollo Familia's assets, they were finally well-funded. Roy had his Goliath Scarf tailored into a cloak for Cassandra to ensure the healer wouldn't be taken out in one hit. He himself wore the Demon King's Armor.
"We'll need a supporter to carry all this," Cassandra noted, looking at the mountain of gear and food.
"No need," Roy smiled. He touched the giant backpack, and it vanished instantly.
"????"
The girls rubbed their eyes, searching the room in shock.
"Just think of it as a special skill I have for storing items," Roy explained. The girls were stunned, but by now, they had accepted that nothing was "normal" when it came to Roy. They realized the immense value of this skill—it was a god-tier ability for dungeon exploration.
With Astraea's gentle smile watching them, the four of them left for the Tower of Babel.
